Our stray cat that we adopted (and then found out she was pregnant) just delivered this morning!  The whole process went so fast!  We've been reading about what to expect, but really thought it would take longer.  She didn't eat all her breakfast this morning and just wanted to snuggle next to me on the couch.  This was about 8:30am.  Then I realized she was trying to lick herself a lot.  And quickly saw that there were wet drops on the blanket.  We hadn't even prepared her box yet!  So I had the kids run do that and I took her upstairs to show it to her.  She got right in and made her nest.  I was trying to decide whether to still take my kids on the field trip or not, figuring we had 12 hours before she probably had her first baby.  SO glad we didn't go!  By 9:15 she already had her first!!  She had another around 9:30 and then the third one at 10:15.  It's almost 1:00pm now and we are left wondering - is she done??

Thoughts welcome...

She being such a quick one is probably done, but  you cant know for sure, unless you are very experienced and know how to palpitate..  Pauses on several hours or even days, aren that uncommon.   As long as she seems fine, no problems, etc - you dont need to worry.  Observe and be prepared, but just enjoy the situation.

Its only if she is clearly in stress, panting, laboring, bleeding or anything such else, you shall contact your vet etc...

Good luck!

Thank you! She seems quite comfortable, and babes are resting nicely and nursing well, so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that she's all done!  :)
