I hope no one gets insulted by this post, not my intention at all.

I know how hard it is when you have a loving pet who is ill and needs surgery or any kind of medical care but finances are unavailable. Well now you dont have to worry about that.

www.paws4acure.org Is an organization that helps owners afford their pets emergency services. Its a wonderful organization...they will not help for routine check ups or spaying or neutering. .this is only for emergencies only..example: Any kind of emergency surgery.. cancer..diabetes..meds etc.Things that require attention in the next few hrs.

I hope you find this information useful and please pass it on. Its so sad the amount of pets that have been uthenized because the owners dont have the finances to pay for that surgery or treatment that will save their babies life.

Thank you for reading.

Now........here's what the site says:
Please be advised that  the approval process can take up to 5 business days after all documentation is received.
There are some other important qualifiers too - or perhaps, disqualifiers - which are better highlighted "up front"  than not:
Please check with your veterinarian to make sure they accept payment from CareCredit

You do NOT qualify for financial assistance (if):

Your veterinarian will not accept payment from Paws 4 A Cure
So, has Paws 4 A Cure been added to the article/'sticky thread' on financial assistance ?

Thank god I dont need them right now but I was clarified that it would be before a 12 hr period. I asked about the 5 days and they said it never gets to that.

Thank you for bringing that to our attention whiteshadow.

Yes they do have to understand that you don't have days with an emergency. My baby was diagnosed diabetic yesterday and his insulin cost me 240 and that's after I paid 180 at the Dr's. Plus another 25 for the syringes. One in 400 felines get diabetes. To some
people that's their food allowance.
Heavenskitty I know their heart is in the right place. A few wrinkles need to be worked out like maybe having a vet fax them the paperwork so they know the situation.

Im so sorry about your kitty having diabetes thats so sad..poor baby. I have care credit..here in Florida all Dr's and Vets take it. So im lucky for that. I took my 5 day old kittens to the vet just to touch them and weigh them..my bill was 130.00 ouch.

Thank You HeavensKitty, this is my second diabetic feline. I had one 10 yrs ago. He became diabetic after receiving a steroid shot. That can be a side effect but Buster Brown is overweight and I've had him on a diet with no success. He weighs 18 pounds. I've changed his diet after researching so hopefully his diabetes will eventually go away. My holistic vet says it's possible to resolve in as little as 6 months.
We have care credit here too. I don't need it but even for those who have it, there's a credit limit. One serious illness or accident you could easily max that card out and still not have enough to pay the vet. We need more organizations to help. People shouldn't have to surrender or euthanize their furbaby just because they're faced with something only a rich person can afford.
We help the needy with human children and I know people will say pets are a choice. Well so are children and I know more irresponsible human parents then pet parents. Where I live it's cool to have a baby. Whether you have a job or not. Even if you're doing drugs. My niece is the example of that. On meth, no job, committing identity theft. She planned a baby. While pregnant, the secret service arrested her.
Long story short, had baby, plea deal and us tax payers support her and the baby.
I know loving responsible pet parents who take care of their furbabies but if faced with an emergency will not have the funds. It breaks my heart. I would love to help everyone but I can't.
