Keep your female cat away from male cats until there is no possibility of more kittens.

Most wait with spaying the mom till the kittens are more or less weaned.  They dont want to risk her nurising is disturbed.

If it is necessary, you CAN spay earlier, but wait a little if you can manage the situation.

The male?  If intact, better he is not near.  He will make her pregnant again... This with his sniffing on her sounds suspicious.

Otherwise, a friendly tom, who is good friend with the mom, is seldom a threat for the kittens.

So be there and watch out, but you can let them meet (as long you are sure he cant mate her).

Not friendly toms may be a great risk, so dont risk a tom who isnt not best friend with mom, come near.

HE may get beaten up, mom may be stressed she hurts the babies, and he may hurt the babies by killing them.

Good luck!

Btw, you know you should keep the kittens with mom till they are at least  8 weeks?

We had recently another person from Pakistan, who got his kitten at 4 weeks, he thought it was the usual.

Why not just go ahead & get the male neutered?  This way, not adding stress to mom after just having kittens.  She can always be done after the kittens are weaned.

Also, I thought kittens stay with mom for 12 weeks.

we do plan to keep the kittens with the mom for atleast 2 mnths and i do know the importance of the kittens staying with mom fr this amount of time so no worries there.v will let them grow and thrive and then give them away. Pakis might be a little under trained about pets but we aren't cruel [emoji]128522[/emoji]

i dnt think u can keep the kittens with the mom tht long i.e. 12 mnths. the mother gets too attached and it gets difficult to seperate them.
We got the male cat injected and according to the vet,it spayed him.wat i am
not sure about is tht can a tom be spayed with an injection or is it necessary for it to be operated on :/ :/. cuz besides being injected,he has started crying all night again and he specially cries outside the mom cat's door (where we have given her private space fr herself and the babies) so i really dnt know if he just wants to play or is he on heat again [emoji]128534[/emoji][emoji]128534[/emoji]

Male cats do not go on heat like females - they are ready to mate all the time and search out females who do go on heat, sometimes very soon after having kittens. I have never heard of neutering a male by injection - it normally requires an operation to remove the testicles. (Spaying' is a term used only for females and involves removing the uterus and ovaries). I would talk to your vet again.

And the advice is to keep the kittens for 12 weeks, not 12 months - I think you misread it! This is an ideal time, and I know not always possible. But every week that they can stay with mom helps them develop easier into healthy and well-behaved cats.

It can have been a hormone injection, essentially the same as females have in their Pill, not to be pregnant. (EDITED).  Which makes their male urge lesser and them becoming a little calmer.

They can still mate if necessary, if they meet a female in full heat, but they wont bother about a female not in heat. Nor will not bother a kitten whom he perhaps thinks are a petite female.

It may be useful with an over eager stud,

Such a injection works for 3 months and can buy some time.

But I dont  encourage it.  These injections do have their dangers, and is not useful instead of neutering (castration)

Aroojay - I am not posting to comment on your cat's or kitten's as you have already received excellent advice and I concur with all above!!!!

I looked at your pictures of the bites on your skin. The first thing that immediately came to mind is Bedbugs..... They typically bite in patches of three's (so three bites near each other or a line)- and the bites look just like bedbug bites to me. Not something you would get from your kitties - so don't worry. This is not from worms either !!!!! A human would not get bite marks like that from cat worms.... that is incorrect. To me, that is some sort of bug bite and yes, they can get filled with pus and look like a pimple before they begin to heal. Anyway - just wanted to reassure you that it is extremely highly unlikely that those bites are from something off of the kittens/cats. Another possibility - is flea bites if the cats have fleas too. :( :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes:

Well the bed mites were ghe first possibility we ruled out cuz my brother has had bed mite rash bfre (not from our bed but wen he was abroad) and bed mites rash dint get this ugly.
also,y wud only the ppl who have physical contact with the cats have it and not the others living under the same roof and in the same beds :/ :/
i have been asking around the neiughborhood and all persian cat owners recognized these zits and most of them are experiencing the same! i knew this spa owner near my house who had persiam cats at her spa,she says ppl strtd having the exact allergic reaction like mine and stopped coming to her.she was told to get rid of the cats as many customers got this allergy from them.i rellay do not know wat to conclude of this :| :|
