I need some help and do not know where to turn ..I have to re home my own cats..i have had these guys since they were born and they are now 1 and 2 years old..I am being threatened with eviction if i do not find new homes for them..I am devastated and scared for them...does anyone know what I can do ..I have about 2-1/2 weeks to find them homes...or if you are in or around Los Angeles CA and would be interested in a juvenile kitty that just loves to be loved, very playful and also content to be alone for  time, completely litter trained, very loyal, non picky eater baby that needs a new home? Has spent its whole life being adored and will be shy and frightened at first but quickly comes out of its shell....please message me if you know anyone who can help me or if anyone wants to give one of my babies a home...I am so upset thinking I am chosing to treat my cats like cats so I can keep my home.up until the now I have treated them and feel like they are my children not cats..to me they are not dispensable but i have no choice...

What does your lease say about pets? Did your landlord agree to them at first? Your landlord is not allowed to change the terms of your tenancy (including sudden changes of mind about pets) so if they were allowed at first he/she can't make you get rid of them. Contact a lawyer for best results (there are some places that offer free legal advice/help if price is a concern).

Hope it all works out for you!

Eviction takes time and effort and legal notices to you from the landlord.  Don't just cave because of a verbal threat.  You can try to be cooperative by offering to pay a pet deposit if you don't have one already, OR you CAN find another place to live if you are unable to find a wonderful new home for your babies that you won't feel guilty about.  There is a page on facebook called RescueMe.org and MANY folkd have places their animals in good homes using this.  Check it out.  If that doesn't work, use the time you have before being evicted to find yourself and your fur kids a better place to live.
