Hello all.

I have a 6 year old gray mixed tabby, female feline that goes by the name Neko. Her diet is as follows: 2 scoops of 1/8 cups dry food in the morning at 6 am with water mixed in,  (if it don't put water into her dry food, she inhales it.) At night time, 8 pm, I feed her wet food, 2 table spoons again with water in it.  My worry is this, she has not had a bowel movement all day. Her litter pan is clean, yet there is nothing inside it.  I was wondering if this was normal? if she is constipated, what can I give her to make her go to the bathroom with out harming her? Please can someone help.

Welcome to The Cat Site, and sorry Neko hasn't had a bowel movement.
One go to product for constipation is plain pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling). Try seeing if she'll eat a tablespoon of that plain, or mix it with wet food.
Dry food is, well, drying; will she eat more wet food. How is her water intake, and is she otherwise behaving normally?

Hi, Mitu my cat doesn't always go #2 everyday. He sometimes skips a day and I don't think is because he is constipated, but he doesn't feel like. If he were to skip more then a day or two then I start worring that he is constipated or something wrong, but otherways I just think is something normal. Like the other person said, when he is constipated I just give him pumkin, about a tea spoon 2 times a day in his wet food.

@Ritz  thank you for the advise about the pumpkin, well has never drank a lot of water since she was a kitten, and she is highly alert and active.@loana  I see, so going to the bathroom differs from cat to cat just like humans. this is interesting to know. Also for the both of you where can i get this pumpkin at? btw thank you for responding. ^_^

It does differe from cat to cat and one day its not a big deal, I wouldn't worry. I get the pumkin from the grocery store in a can. Its says Pumkin 100% and nothing else in it. Hope it helps:)
