no offence taken

If I am honest I wouldn't have known the difference either until about 6 years back when I started surfing cat breeds and cat information with my previous pensioner tabby:  chatting with her about who would keep me company when she wasn't with me any more.
She used to snuggle in on my lap and I would tell her all about what the different pedigrees were supposed to be like, but then that I would probably adopt another little cat that was in need of a home like she had been.  It never entered my head that when it was time to adopt again there wouldn't be any kittens or cats available other than pedigrees!!!

Mikki is dreaming of taking a white paint brush to some of your furbabies ;)

My son adopted K.O. who was still in the shelter 4 MONTHS after we adopted Mikki and Minnie ..they're all littermates! K.O. is no longer with us, but I love the fact that K.O. is solid gray... Mikki is gray tux and Min was a black tux. Their mama was also with the litter in the shelter and she was a solid gray. That means the daddy HAD to be a black tux like Min :) Loved figuring that out! :)
Here is K.O. My son is a photographer so has a good camera :)

You're way better at figuring these things out than me, I still find it hard even when it's carefully explained.

What adorable photos your son has here, and a stunning blue cat he had as his muse.
How sad KO is not still with your son, it would be lovely to see more of him.

This is Possum, one of a litter of five I found after a five-week search to locate kittens born to a beautiful stray.  One week after fostering three of the kittens, Possum has gone from the lightest in the litter to the heaviest. Hard to make a judgement at this young age, but I reckon he's the smartest in the litter. He sure works things out quickly, including being the first to learn how to lap from a saucer, and the first to learn how to walk successfully down the ladder of the cat tree.  And possum having a snooze:

@Checkers   Possum is very sweet and it is going to be really interesting to see how his gray colouring develops.  I love gray tabbies and you will see a few earlier in this thread.   I have read that the kittens which are the best putting on weight and the most curious are also the best survivors in litters as they are the strongest and most able to find food as they grow.   Looks like Possum is a really strong kitten.  Awesome job you are doing there with fostering Possum and siblings.

Yes, I would love to see how Possum's gray developes, @MServant  .  I hope someone I know adopts him so I can keep tabs (no pun intended) on him.  I sure hope he or any of his siblings never have to look for food, but I reckon if Possum did, he'd be a survivor!

Here's my little tyke:

iPhone pictures, sorry about quality:

Little pack-a-day smoker.
He's the most photogenic cat I've ever worked with. Not only does he photograph well, he actually likes being in front of the camera. Needless to say, I have tons of pictures of Erik.

This one is from today. I love when you catch them acting silly ... They're so regal in their own minds, when I catch them "derping" it makes me giggle.

Sorry if there are too many pictures!

There are never too many pictures. We all love our furry children so much that we want to show them off, talk about them and brag about them to the whole world. Here we can do that without boring anyone. Of some of my cats I have over 200 pictures. It never ends. Welcome to the club and this thread.

He's very handsome. I wish mine loved the camera. I tried to take some pictures of Sophie last night and she won't sit still. I got the back of her head, the side of her head and her caboose before I gave up.

I think he has a rather "scolding" expression in the photo with the pack of cigarettes. It looks like a "get YOUR stuff off of MY chair, please!" look.

He's super cute

@segelkatt- I'm glad there is a place I can post all these. People on my Facebook seem to be underwhelmed by all the kittiness.

@Kat0121  - I've never had a cat enjoy modelling like this. I used to work as the photographer at a rescue group, taking photos for their adoption profiles or donation requests.

He is indeed grumpy to have the ciggs by him, he normally knocks everything off the chair before settling into a catloaf. Dad had picked his pack up off the ground and put them back in the chair for the photo, and he was giving off a good bit of stink-eye.

Yep, for all the pics I take of Mouse he hates the camera and avoids whenever he can.  Rarely poses.

Very wise kitty with the cig's, you'll have to put loads of those stink-eye pictures around your home so his dad gets the message he wants him to be healthy.
Either that or try and get him to behave like Mouse, if he doesn't like the smell of something I have be digs and digs to try and bury it.  The other day he started digging around me while I still had my evening meal in my hand and only half eaten.  Apparently garlic is THAT bad.

@Nicolina, she is the image of my childhood cat - right down to the white spot on her chest.  Mine lived for more than 20 years, and was the best cat ever.
Awww! I hope Inara gets to live that long!

What a beauty she is, esp in that top photograph.
Who could resist that face. those eyes?!

In the sleeping photo she does look tiny, how cute.
Thank you so much! She's very hard to resist

Binx is adorable, a 'super furry animal' .
Photos 7 and 8 above have a very cheeky, defiant look about them, and he is irisistible when he rolls over to show off that cuddly belly of his.
Very Mouse like around the middle
.   This is what one judge descibed Mouse's build as a year and a half ago:  "  slightly portly at midriff'.    If I were you Raksha, I wouldn't worry as this was the show and report that won him his first certificate towards becoming a Premier cat.  LoL Being just a little chubby seems to be a good thing sometimes - it makes you extra cuddly and is the purrfect companion for soft fur.
