Just to let you all know. Our two grey boys are going to really good homes. One family has 3 boys aged 3 to 7 and a great mum so they will get plenty of attention.

Thanks

Sorry fort he delayed reply, yup looked on petfinder and overstocked.com adopt a pet, which has a ton of pet if anyone is looking to adopt a cat or dog, lots of shelter pets needing homes ;) Well off of the link you provided to the photos, I tracked down the breeder in South Calif, and she tells me she is the only remaining breeder of Nebelungs in the USA, which is sad news since the breed came from the USA, it seems UK and our countries have more breeders now.

She had 2 female cats about 1.5 years old that could be bought with $$$, so I asked for photos and never heard back :( These are pure breed nebelungs, which is fine with me, but I am ok with a mix, thus the price tag)

So I keep looking online, tons of greys and hard to tell if they are nebelungs or not, I keep looking for greys with long hair ;)

Thanks for the links

Are they going to the same home or are they going to be separated? They looked like they were bonded--------------
They went to separate homes.. not sure about bonded, but I think they got up to a lot of mischief together!

@linkfarm is pretty good at choosing homes for kitties.. they've been doing it for a while now

2 more homes with hilarious grey boys to rule them!

I wonder if we will see them around the site - new families looking for advice on how to get sleep, survive endless play and mischief, and an inability to take enough photos / find other people who love their grey boys as much as they do not to be bored rigid looking at them all the time.

Wow, @owest  only 1 breeder for Nebelungs in US now!  I wonder how the gene pool is doing and where she gets matches with for her litters. I am yet to see / feel a Nebelung but hoping there might be one at a cat show I'm going to soon as would love to meet one and see what theif fur is like.

@MServant

Well that what she told me, but I have scrubbed the net and mainly found old links to breeders and the trail ends....  So it seems if you just get lucky and find one via Craigslist or via animal shelter or search eng like Petfinder or overstocked . com has a pretty good adoption search engine with a lot of the local animals up for adoption then your in luck.  I did find a place about 3 hours from me that has 2 or 3 adult Nebelungs, maybe more from the photos...

The hard thing with searching for Nebelung is, most people have no idea what one is and think Grey cat, thus many of the shelters and online places list them as long hair russian blue, or one of the other offsets..

As for the hair, silky, eye's Green or yellow and lots of personality which won me over, but then again most cats do :)

Hee hee, @owest  , I think pretty much all grey cats have personality by the bucket load, just look at Wallypops above, not to mention Xena, Oksana, Sundar and the scrumptious grey boys linkfarm is in the process of adopting out, to name but a few! View media item 225654  I mean, does this look like a shy, quiet cat to you?

Ok, enough of blue  cats, here is my silver Bebe, she was allowed to be on this grey cat site so let me introduce her:

BEBE, pronounced the French way beh-BEH, 15 years old, Persian by the looks as she had been de-clawed as a kitten by her owners and then abandoned a year later when they returned to Japan, thus no papers. After a few weeks being fed by the neighbors she finally came in and was loved for 10 years when her  new mom passed away. That is when I got her and now have had her for almost 4 years. Instead of a proper "meow" she mainly whispers and she pats me on the arm when she wants to be petted.

She is a very clean cat, always grooming but needs a lot of help to keep all that hair in good shape without mats. She needs to be combed every day and gets a bath and a blow-dry once a month which she does not mind as she is used to it.

partaking of catnip which grows in a pot on that small third-floor balcony (we have now moved to a place with a very large enclosed patio on the second floor)

acting like a contortionist fit for Cirque de Soleil, that's a hind leg sticking up while she is grooming

showing off the flat face

who says I'm not grey? Silver is just a fancy word for grey

 I am so beautiful!

I may sometimes have devil's eyes but I am really just sweet

have you ever seen a tail as gorgeous as mine?

staring contest: one on the sofa, the other on the tree. Up close down below.

that's Rumpus, a Maine Coon, up there looking at----see below

Bebe, who is half his size and looking ferocious, lol!

Technically he shoots lightning :lol3: and I read somewhere that they based his design on cats! I'd believe it! If Kitty had been a boy, that would've been her name :D
Good luck with your tiny dragon cat! :vibes:

Not so tiny!  My chubby little Mouse seems to have expanded from 3 1/2 kilos when he was age 2, to 5 kilos at age 3 1/2!   He is currently on strict food rations and kitty-gym play sessions before he becomes officially over weight.

I'll keep my fingers crossed he doesn't start to shoot lightning.

@segelcat I love the shots of Bebe looking up at her "little" brother. Is she the alpha cat?

@Mservant The shot of Mouse with the faucet is too much. Hilarious!

I think behavior is just as much nurture as it is nature. Mouse had a good breeder that really took the time to socialize him.

My Oksana who is just as sweet as any domestic you've ever seen, is terrified of most everything and everyone. She acts almost dog like until she hears a knock at the door and then it's instant panic. Poor thing spent most of her early kittenhood in an ER Vet's office. I think that was probably the biggest factor.

Her and Beans bird watching.

Big Perm: Rumpus passed away at age 14 a year ago and no, little Bebe is no alpha cat. She defers to everybody else. She has a "BIG" brother named Panthera who is my avatar, is almost 9 years old and weighs about 17 lbs. She also has a Birman sister who is also 15. They both defer to Panthera who is not aggressive or bosses others, he's really just a sweet oversized kitty, it's just his size that intimidates them.

You can't really tell in this picture as Oksana is standing closer to the camera, but Beans is a lot bigger than her.

@segelkatt Oksana, as spooky as she may be, is definitely the alpha. Occasionally, Beans will get the better of her in a wrestling match, but Oksana is diabolical. She'll wait until Beans is sleeping to get her licks in.

The funny thing is, usually cats show who's dominant, by who gets the highest seat. In this case on the cat tree....

Unfortunately, though poor little 'Sana is scared of heights. A cat who's scared of heights... just drink that in for a second...
