It looks to me like you fell in love with this blue beauty @Stewball  .  I hope Whisky and Blighty don't know about this or they might get jealous.

Aw, your poor 'boys'.    They give you lots of snuggles,
they just don't like to nuzzle up nose to nose burrowed in your arms like Cora in your photo.

This is one of my feral momma's offspring. She brought them out of hiding when they were about 3 months old. They were hissing, spiting, biting kittens. We trapped them and had them spayed. We have worked with them for three years and look where we are now. Big Grey is the tamest of the group and now comes in and makes herself at home .

Oooh, look at her splendid coat!
She is gorgeous, and looks very sleek and shiny here, well cared for.
Will she let you touch and stroke her at all or is she not there yet?   I bet that fur feels divine.

@Mouse Servent She allows stroking and head bumps. I can not describe quite how she feels, thick but the softest cat I have felt. Kind of like rabbit fur.She will not let us pick her up and is pretty skiddish. She approches us from the side and circles us before coming to us. She only allows me or my husband to go near her. I want her to be an inside only cat, but she and her mother stay very close together and her mother does not like inside. A work in progress. Yes my little colony eats the same food as my indoor only cats.

@KittyMomma1122   That rabbit fur is just how I was imagining her from your photograph.
So glad to hear she approaches and lets you touch her.

You are having a wonderful impact on the health of Big Grey, her mother, and the other colony cats you are feeding and caring for and Big Grey is a shining fur example.  Her allowing you to touch her is the highest reward I can imagine.  I hope we can all see more photographs of her (and perhaps some of her cat companions).

@SheriT    Thank you for your kind comments.
I love this thread.   So many gorgeous cats
!   Of course I had 2 tabbies before so had digital cameras been around when I had them I would be posting like crazy on the tabby cat pages too (and they were not nearly as sleek and shiny as your handsome tiger, more the sweet and gorgeous of your Lily avatar).      Believe me, I am not that good at photography, but I am good at taking photographs -  a lot of them!
I have millions of photos, but only a handful of decent ones, and a few very silly ones to add for good measure.

Mouse servant and others

Lily is the first white and black cat I have had and I always wanted one.

I have had tabbys most all my childhood and adulthood..

Lily has fur like a rabbit which I love..she is so soft and she makes a noise

talking to me that I can not describe and she also is vocal meowing

in the house..I love the noise she makes when greeting me..

I would like to ask some one to start a thread of white and black cats like

Lily's markings..for photos to be posted in the future..

and let me know...

I had a Russian blue that my father bought us along with a white poodle we went to get the poodle and the lady said you have to buy the Russian blue also and she had not mentioned that after a 5 hour drive to get the poodle..On the way home in the trunk on a cool winter day the cat reached

out of the carrier and tore my mothers sunday hat to shreds..it had a feather on it and she

demolished that hat with that one paw grabbing it through the carrier!

That was in the 1964 time period...

I still laugh about that to this day..

@SheriT   There is already a thread for Bi-colour cat photos here http://www.thecatsite.com/t/85808/bi-color-kitties-only/0_100   and some very pretty black and white kitties in this thread too.
One of my favourite browsing places is the Bicolor photo album in the Gallery section of TCS.

Your tale about that blue kitten and your nmother's sunday hat is hilarious.    Oh yes,  our blue ones sure do seem to keep our hands full....
Did that little blue cat ever make it to your childhood home?

I wish Lily had been younger, she is my white /black 7 month old

I adopted at 6 months old from rescue humane shelter an hour away..

I love the name Leo for  a male, easy to say and to call

and to type that name! I had a Leo myself..

anyway so happy for you!

Yes the cat got to our home and stayed 2 days and ran off..

We never found it. I think the lady should not have made us buy the cat

she ought to have known it might not adapt to other yard dogs we had

that liked cats nor to our other cats...

I felt so bad as  a child for the cat leaving...our home..

There is something to be said for adopting an older kitten, or even an adult. My first baby, Cadbury, was 1 year when I adopted him! He is the chocolate kitty in my avatar pic. I love both experiences so far...Cadbury was the easiest LOL :)

And thanks!
