I just realised that I have a shot of Sundar taking the pose of Holdyourbottomasana even further!

He's a true master of the art.

@Mani,  I thought you were just rotating the first photo, to get a better position.  Now, I see that Sundar is truly a master, since he went deeper into the pose. I'll never doubt you again..

@bigperm20  ..from yoga to Tai Chi....I think your cat Oksana is the best.  It is a martial art, after all....lol

What a bunch of talented cats you all have.

Don't y'all know the yoga gene is attached to the blue gene? It's true! I swear! So glad I saw your blue yoga cats because my family has always looked on with disbelief as Karma managed to sleep comfortably in the most unlikely poses. The torbie and the Bombay never lay like that. It has to be blue thing... yep.

"It has to be a blue thing...yep"....lol.....@OwnedByKarma  ....I'm still  like your family in the "disbelief" category, but seeing the photos, is changing my mind.....
.  My 14yr old Tuxedo does have some moves, while grooming, but they are more like a Jane Fonda workout.. with back legs stretched over his head.  It somehow looks a little too personal to post. though.....lol. (plus...he's not blue....so  lacking that "gene" you say?...lol)

Any good yoga pose photos of Karma?

@bigperm20, I love Oksana's Tai Chi!  Mouse is more of a fake Kung Fu boy when not practicing yoga as he moves too fast to photo (but no evidence of any thinking or centering before hand).

@Mani, Sundar has a beautifully tight tuck in this latest picture.

My Josephine here is clearly very much a grey cat too, so I thought she could join in this thread!  :)  I caught her here a while ago chilling on my bed in the morning.  I'm really not sure what breed Jo is exactly, other then simply "grey, short hair."   She was a rescue from a shelter, and I tend to assume probably a mix of breeds.
Josephine is lovely, that 'caught in the act. Who? Me' expression is perfect.
Her fur looks really soft, and there is a lovely silvery sheen on her fur too. Welcome to the blue, domestic cat crowd here on the thread, also known as Maltese.
The purple fleece  compliments her colour nicely.

Hee hee, Bob looks like he's in serious hunt mode there and about to pounce on some unlucky recipient with those huge paws of his.

Yes, an absolutely gorgeous DSH (Domestic Short Hair).

Does she let you rub that beautiful fluffy tummy?
Thanks.

She does like her tummy rubbed, but most often that will just trigger her " Oh lovely, lets play and get hyper" mode, lol.

Uh oh. I was looking for a picture of Karma asleep. He's usually doing the blue yogi or the zero gravity kitty in his sleep. Instead, I caught him changing the channel to Jackson Galaxy again. He just loves to remind us of how superior he is

I'd like to ask @Norachan   How many years have you been practicing Yoga?

And thank you for the above link to the Yoga Journal, it has many articles which I will bookmark. Very useful information, if I ever decide to go back and attempt some basic yoga..  thank you.
I took a year out between finishing school and starting university to go back-packing around India, I got into doing yoga then. That was about 18 years ago. (Man, I'm so old!)

I used to go to yoga schools in the UK and Japan but I live in the middle of nowhere now, no gyms or anything around here. If I want to learn anything new I try and find it on youtube.

I'd love to be as flexible as a cat. The way they do down-dog, up-dog, legs behind the head. They look so graceful

Doesn't my poor baby's crooked teeth make him look vicious? He is really waiting patiently, still as a statue, hoping I will go back to scratching his chin after I finish taking a photo.
lol....He looks adorable @PangurBan  ....Kind of like a little dracula, or vampire, or bat.....but don't tell him I said that. Those fluffy paws and fur look like silky soft   Of course you have to scratch that chin.

So he likes getting his photo taken?
