I have a 10 month old kitten and I was wondering if I can feed him Wilderness Grain Free Mature dry food? My older guy was eating this but I had to put him down and the bag was just opened and I hate to see it go to waste. The kitten has been eating adult dry food since I adopted him from the rescue shelter and he gets kitten wet food.

It's probably fine to mix a little bit in with what you're feeding, if you just want to use it up. Just add a small amount to each dry meal, maybe a tablespoon, but the best way to use it up, IMO, is to go donate the open bag to your local animal shelter.

Kittens need extra nutrition, so I hope he is getting adequate amounts through the wet food your are giving or that the adult food you are referring to is really an "all life stages" food.

It is better to feed your kitty wet food, not dry, so I think the best course of action for you is to switch to all wet.

To more directly answer your question: Senior food tends to higher carb/lower protein, so I would not feed it to the kitten, who especially needs good nutrition at this age. A lot of pet stores will take back open bags of food if you have the receipt.
