I got Oliver some chicken feet a few weeks ago to see if he would eat them whole. He didn't. But it occurred to me that they've got a lot of bone. Could I use them as a bone meal sub. in his food? Just ground whole? My grinder can actually handle them.

Any help is appreciated. I'm making a batch now.

I'm on my kindle and cane search, but I had a similar question, thread, search for it in the raw forum. From what I remember, it does have bone but also a lot of cartilage, useful for cats with joint problems (glucosamine). When I showed a chicken foot to Ritz, she just looked at it, no interest in playing with it or eating. She does love chicken heads, eats them eyeballs, brains and all.

I want to add it to the ground meat. I put about four of them in to this batch and also added egg shells.I'm just not sure how much to add.
