Hello, my 6-month old cat vomited three times today and it was liquid and foamy. this morning he ate dry and wet food (like what he does everyday) and vomited something that looked like brown chunks (I suppose this was the food he ate). an hour after, he vomited again and it was something light yellowish and foamy. then he vomited again right now, still foamy but now it is white in color. he doesnt want to eat but he is drinking water. i am very worried about this, i hope you can help me what to do. thanks a lot!

Is he pooping and peeing normally? Are there any signs of sickness in his behaviour or does he seem happy apart from the vomiting? It could be that he is preparing to vomit up a hairball - it is the time of year for that and they often vomit several times before the hairball comes up. But if there are any other signs of illness or if it continues another 24 hours I would at least call a vet and probably take him in.

I have a female tortoiseshell  she started vomiting when she was around 3 yrs + old  sometimes 4/6 times a day.... I started to feed her little often.. she will not eat wet food, so I had  a problem in changing her food, but it all depended on how stressed she was, if she was stressed she vomitted... if my husband and I have an argument with raised voices this can do it, then to go the full spectrum if she eats tooooo quickly she will vomit and then she vomits no less than 3 times .... this is the second cat I have owned who has vomitted all the time... where is God ... I didn't ask for this.... there are soooooo many reasons why they do this... but it cannot harm them for long... as long as they drink, that is very important ... another thing to look for at all times is if they clean themselves..... I always measure the stress and illness of my babies accordingly :  are they eating ?? are they washing ?? are they drinking ?? then if the answer is no to all or two I start to worry and make arrangements to take them to the vet... sometimes a change of accommodation does the trick but that  doesn't always suit our wallets ..

Don't worry, just watch and see what happens if they stop all of the above then the vet is the next best bet

Hi Jenny, thanks for the response. I am still monitoring his condition but I am planning to bring him to the vet tomorrow when I'm off from work. He still walks around and is curious about things, but he isn't as playful as he used to be. I have also noticed that his nose is dry. Whenever we try to feed him he just sniffs his food and then walks away which is strange because the wet and dry food we offered are his favorites.

Thanks so much blacksnow, I hope my baby will be alright soon. I'm going to bring him to the vet tomorrow :)

Hey guys, thanks so much! I brought my baby to the vet and we found out that he has a fever so the vet gave him antibiotics etc and now he's fine again. I'm really happy and relieved :)
