We adopted our now 4.5 mo kitty 2.5 mos ago. He had diarrhea for about 6-7 weeks. finally after many different meds (including antibiotics, dewormers) his poop was normal. about 10 days ago i stupidly decided to give a new brand of wet food a try and he loved it. 2 hrs later had diarrhea. it's been 10 days and he is on flagyl, and finally diarrhea seems under control today. but he has a huge bloated belly. has been shedding a lot. vomited clear liquid and some hair in it a week ago and again on sunday, but this time the liquid was yellowish. took him to a vet today because of his bloat. they did x ray and ultra sound. it showed some gas and moderate amount of liquid in his belly. the vet drew some liquid for testing. won't know for 2 days... the vet said could be number of things, like different type of bacteria or FIP (i prey it's not).
all i read about such cases scares me to death. anyone has a happy ending of a story of a kitty with fluid in his tummy and all turned out well???
