i don't work for Nature's Miracle either, but i found an amazing litter that works for me, and i'm going to shout from the roof tops!!!! lol. so that everyone else tries it too. just like you, @Slave2_Ragdolls i just wanted to share what worked amazing for me. i wish they paid me for every time i praised them! lol. or at-least gave me a few free bags of the litter : /

@happybird the box attracted me and the BF like moths to a flame at the target!! and just the shiny new box alone is what made us want to buy it and try it. but we've used the other typed of arm and hammer litter and remembered it just did not work for me. it made me a bit skeptical on whether this new type of litter from arm and hammer would work for me. so i never bothered buying it. that's the thing i found with my experiences with litter, the shinier the packaging, with lots of fancy words and descriptions, the less it actually worked!

@Asherdash i should have also mentioned and clarified, heavily scented and dusty litters affect me negatively as well. i found that with nature's miracle i didn't have the same feelings or dry itchy eyes, constant sneezing and dust all over the place, trouble breathing, and the over powering scent of cat litter. i didn't feel like i had to use my inhaler every time i cleaned the box. it has given me A LOT of relief on top of doing what its supposed to, which is effectively clump my cats' waste, and control odor.

I started using this litter today and can already attest to the odor blocking capabilities.

We literally just got back from Petco an hour ago; got the $3.00 off coupon and I must say that whether it was perfect timing, or both boys telling me that it was high time I got them a different litter box solution, they both have already used it, and each left a package

We had been using the Tidy Cat Breeze system with pellets and I will say that when we only had Si, his diet was such that his poop didn't smell nearly as much as both boys' business does on grain/gluten free foods.  For us, the rabbit or duck, would wake you from a dead sleep and one of us pretty much had to immediately get up no matter the wee hour and get that business bagged up and in the trash!

We also moved to a new litter box - hooded with a charcoal filter in the roof - which I'm sure will (and did) help right away.   We went with the Moderna Trendy Cat Black & White (fell in love with this the last time I saw one for obvious reasons. lol)

The younger boy seems to have THE most odiferous poop no matter the protein source, so when he went, and the aroma was extremely brief, especially once he covered it in the new litter, I was sold.

Will have to get used to the little bit of tracking.  Especially if they are going to continue to dive in, and on top of, playing hide and seek with the door like they have been for the last hour now.

Glad your kitties are taking adjusting to clay litter well!

i've noticed, with my cats, and my friend's, a lot of them seem to prefer the clay litter.

the all natural litter, and the breeze system, and the other types of litter out there, might be "better" for them, but they really seem to prefer the clay litter. at least i can say for my two cats and my friend's one cat.

no more switching around and experimenting for me.

also, whenever the litter box has just been cleaned, my girl likes to go in there and inspect. LOL. if it's a job well done she'll sit and hide in here until my other cat comes along or near the box, and she'll jump out hahah.

on an unrelated note....

does anyone else's cat chirp when they poop?

before any odor hits my nose, and aside from the intensity of the digging, i can tell what my cats are doing in the litter box...just by the way they chirp right before they poop and then after they're done....

both my cats do this. is this just me??

I got weaseled in by the cool lok of the box and also a friend who swears it's a great product. The first day I tried it, my best behaved cat AsherDash peed on the sofa. I'm not sure which exact one I used but my house stunk like pee. Ok so I still want to give it another chance but I'm waiting for my girlfriend to leave town
..for now it's back to fresh step, which wreaks havoc with my allergies or Worlds Best which is kind of pricey here and the lavender is hard to find
Yeah, me too! Smart thinking to put cat litter in

Don't like anything scented nor do my cats.  Fragrance is only put there for humans not for the cats - it is really only a gimmick to make us purchase the product, but if your cats don't have problems with this litter good for you, whatever works.

This is my review of Arm and Hammers new Clump and Seal Cat litter. It was originally posted to the Clump and Seal website but I am doing the ol' cut and paste everywhere I can to spread the word about this vile product.

At first, I thought I was going to love this stuff. Poured it into the litter box and there was virtually no dust and it smelled fresh.  Then, the cats started using the box, as cats do. It tracked every where! I wondered why so I investigated. This stuff clumps either way too slow or way too fast. They would urinate and there would be a puddle of urine that hadn't been absorbed because the litter below it had already hardened causing the cats paws to be damp with urine then the litter they walked through would get stuck to their paws and track everywhere they went. All I hear now is click clacking of my cats paws on the hardwood floors and I have to pick the litter out of their paws. I think the litter is way too fine and I believe therein lies your problem.
*Just a health note from my Vet....when this clay litter get stuck to your pets paws and they go to clean themselves, it CAN get stuck in their digestive tracts and cause blockages. Just something to think about and possibly add to your R&D departments check off list.
Keep your $3.00 coupon.

i've experienced this same issue, and a list of others whenever i used arm and hammer litter. i did not use the Clump and Seal, but i have used the many other varieties they offer (before the clump and seal came out).

I will admit, the shiny box caught me and the bf's attention while browsing at the store, but i stuck to my guns and DID NOT purchase. All arm & hammer litter seems like a miracle and a god sent brand of litter for about 2-3 days max, right out of the box. and then its like kitty litter hell. reviews like this make me so happy i did not purchase this litter.

.... I've been using a new litter at home that I found at Big Lots. It's called Peerless Pet and I can get a 28lb box for 7.50. I've used it for about 3 weeks now and really like it.
I just picked up a box of this, attracted by the price & description ...glad to hear some feedback on it - have not used it yet.

I tried it, noticed it developed some kind of smell (not catty but chemical) after a lttle use and had to put it out on the porch.  It stays there in a coveredd litter box for cats to use when it's raining but they want to be out on the porch.  It has lasted and lasted and lasted -- because they dont like it either.  It didnt seem to have any smell when I first put it in the box, but it must be something that comes forth when used.  My favorite is the cheaper version of Nature's Miracle, called Fresh Results.  Can be had for $5.99 per 10 lb. bag at WalMart, more for the same thing in certain supermarkets like Ingles.  It's corn cob, very absorbent, smells like pine, REAL pine, but isn't.  Sometimes I mix it in with the the corn cob horse bedding from Tractor Supply (Best Cob Premium Horse Bedding, $8.99 for 40 lbs.) which has no smell at all just to get a little of the pine scent in there.   I use that because it's the most economical and the cats will use it.

When the FreshResults disappeared from the market for awhile, I called the company to see what happened to it.  They told me it was the exact same thing as NaturesMiracle clumping corn cob litter, not a clone or copy but the same product, but this was WalMart's packaging of it.  When I couldnt find it, I did buy the Natures Miracle ($11.xx versus $5.99 for 10 lbs) and it was indeed the same.  Fortunately the FreshResults came back and is always available.  I used it exclusively when I just had my own cats, but when I took on a huge number of fosters last year, I had to find something more economical.  Tractor Supply's version of Feline Pine (also horse bedding) is even cheaper (40 lbs for $5,99) and it works but some of these guys will not bury if thaat's in the box, so the $8.99 corn cob crumbles for 40 lbs. is the best value for me (15 litter boxes!)

I've had a box of this for a while but been iffy to try it. I've used Scoop Away almost exclusively because the times I've tried something else I always hated it. Well my recent box of Scoop Away was either a dud or they changed something! ALL the urine drained to the bottom and became some horrific smelling cement on the bottom. It took me over an hour of scraping my box with a razor to chip everything off to do a full clean + bleach the box. It had gotten to the point the non-clumped litter smelled of pee and being in our room beside the bed, I would wake up nauseous from the smell....Only after spraying enough perfume in the room to get to sleep. I scoop the box DAILY so this wasn't some disgusting cat box that's never cleaned! Being that it was around 1am when I decided it HAD to be cleaned and I was not about to make a run to Walmart for litter....I put in the Clump & Seal.

Having only used it for 1 day I don't have a full judgement on it yet but SO FAR I like that it's not dusty (Whereas Scoop Away covered everything in and around the box with dust), it clumps well without using a ton of litter to coat everything, super easy to scoop and the cats don't track it around as bad. My only issue is the smell. It seems to cover pee and poop smells but the litter itself seems to have a "stale" smell to it. Anyone else have this issue?? Regardless, it was only $3.50 for 14lb at Dollar General and I picked up another box tonight to keep on hand for now, for the same price. (Used the $3 coupon on the box) Still a little more pricey (When I run out of coupons) than the Scoop Away ($10 for 40lb at Family Dollar) but seems to be a better litter so far, if I can just get past the "stale" smell.

That's probably the "chemical" smell I mentioned above.  I found it got worse as the cats used it and as I said, the box is out on the porch.  It doesn't bother me out there and it does seem to be lasting well. Still, for an inside litter, it doesn't work for me.

Thanks, I'll keep on with it for now and see if it gets any better or worse. Since we live in an apartment and the boys aren't allowed outside (As much as Oliver hates it) there is no putting it outside to use up. Either it will have to be dealt with or tossed. I'm so scared to try any new litters though because most don't clump well or contain the smell. :/ If this doesn't die down then maybe I'll try NM next and see how everyone likes it.

Do not buy this product. After using this for 6 weeks both of my cats are gravely ill. Ive spent $2000+ trying to keep my cats alive. You want dead cats buy this product!
You want to keep them alive, do not buy it!!!! This was the only change i made to my cats regiment.
Zero stars, arm and hammer should be paying for my vet bills.
Contact me if you have the same problem.

So sorry to hear that, sickcatmomma!  What specifically is the vet saying is the connection between the litter and your cat's illness?

Not that I intend to use it again, but it would be good to know specifics here so other cat owners can be on the lookout.  I have a second box sitting in the garage that I won't use because the odor was so much worst.

Unfortunately I have exhausted all savings so further diagnostic testing had to stop. No difinitive diagnosis was given.
I am treating them symptomatically now.

I also can't stand heavily scented products and I find this litter to be strongly scented.  The scent also seems to linger much longer after pouring and comes back strongly, every time the cat goes into the box.  Another possible problem is my cat has started sneezing, repeatedly since starting with this litter.
