Thanks and what's really funny is Colelet is the same age as her mom was when she had her.

Lovely cat. I am sure she will be a good mom. Once she has had her kittens will you be able to get her spayed?

I don't know, we wanted to get her spayed but then she got pregnant before we could get the money. her sister was pregnant too but I think she miscarried. we are still trying to save the money for both of them to get spayed.

It will cost MUCH more to raise the kittens than to spay :/. Hopefully you can find the money to take good care of them so they grow up healthy.

If you can't get her spayed immediately (or as soon as the vet will do it if the kittens are still nursing) then you must be very careful not to let her get out. Some females some into heat very quickly after giving birth, and she will be very quick and cunning in her desire to get out and mate again. This would be very bad for her health and give you all the work of raising yet another litter of kittens, let alone the trouble of finding homes for them all. We all love kittens, but there are sadly far too many in the world. Sorry to be negative when you are all happy and excited over the coming events, but you do need to plan ahead.

Guess what? Colelet is the mother of four beautiful kittens born last night. I wasn't around when she had them.

We might sell them when they are old enough but we're not sure yet.

People don't pay money for moggie kittens :/. In the US anyway. If you provide some kind of vet care (de-worming, shots, etc.) they may be willing to pay a small amount to cover that vet care. But don't count on defraying your costs by selling the kittens.

The picture is dark so I can't tell. . .what colors are the little cuties?

One is pure black, one is pure white, another is black and white, and the last one is gray with a little bit of white.

The kittens are all so cute and fuzzy! I can't wait till they're older so I can actually touch them. the first few weeks are hard worrying about if they will live, if the mom knows what she's doing, and all that fun stuff.

Hey so It's been a year since these kittens where born, sadly we were unable to get momma spayed before she ran away, almost like she knew what was comming. But guess what? she showed up yesterday........... with four kittens in tow. they look about a month and a half old and they are feisty little stinkers. I think momma is trying to wean them but it's obvious they have never been handled by people. Any sugestions?

is mama easy to handle? Begin by handling her!  show off you are her friends!   Show off you are coming with food!

When possible, try to pet them some - be sure they dont protest, so mom isnt irritated nor get into defensive mode.

When they had landed, a trick is to wrap them in a towel, like a burrito, up to the chin, and carry at your chest, singing softly, making friendly noises, letting the kitten hear your heart and body warmth...   Half an hour, one hour...

After a couple three of such sessions, they are done.

You are somewhat in a hurry. NOW is the perfect time to get them fully socialized.  After week 8 it becomes more difficult.

And dont forget to spay her!   Do it soon, as soon you are sure the kittens can eat themselves.

She can nurse them some also after spaying.  But dont riskt they gets away again...

Oh and mama is extreamly easy to handle considering I raised her so that's no problem.

Good, so do it as much you can.  When kittens see you are best friend with mom, and she is best friend with you, they will soon take the hint and follow suit.

Its quite more difficult to socialize kittens with a shy mama.   Although it still can be done, if the mama allows it.  But they often do.   :)
