Kitty is going to the vet in two weeks to follow up on his uti but I need to know if this is something that needs to be addressed sooner. He doesn't use the litter box, he goes on pee pads. I just noticed his paws being in such bad shape when I saw tiny spots of blood on my bed where he sleeps. No puss as far as I know/have seen. I'm attaching two pics, one of his left rear paw and one of his front right paw. Any ideas??

In my opinion, yes, he needs to go to the vets sooner rather than later, i.e., don't wait on the UTI checkup.
Any change in the pee pads you're using? He could have developed an allergy to any number of ingredients/chemicals in the pee pad.
My main concern--and keep in mind I'm not a vet or anything remotely related--would be if any kind of bacteria was transferred from his pee/poop into his raw paws.
PS: I don't know why your cat is using a pee pad. But interestingly enough, last weekend there was a repeat of an episode of My Cat From Hell. The cat had used only a pee pad and was now peeing/pooping outside the pee pads. The woman cat owner with Jackson's help successfully transitioned the cat to a litter box (tip: very very soft litter and a very very shallow box). I believe the cat had been declawed.

I use "chucks" purchased from a need supply place, not sterilized or anything. He won't use the box and have since we got him. We've tried many different types. I have seen the my cat from hell episode and my cat will still use the pee pads but I'm convinced it's from him being declawed and bc he's 20 pounds. He's on a very strict diet now. Only 1/2c a day. He's prone to utis and is on Rx food now.
I will call the vet and see if I can get him in sooner. Thanks for your response.

Sorry I took so long getting back to you all! The vet said it was most likely a reaction to something he stepped in and his paws are dry. I stopped using the new carpet cleaner solution and it's almost gone now! What a relief! Thank you to everyone here for your advice!

Thanks for updating! I'm glad the vet could tell you what was going on with Kitty's paws.
