Cat sniffling and sneezing

My 4 year old cat has been sniffling and sneezing for 2 days now. There isn't any kind of thick mucus coming from her nose and she's squinting her eyes a little bit but they're not runny or gooey. She had a URI when i first got her as a kitten and so far this is not looking like the same thing. Could it be allergies? I have not noticed any changes in her eating or litter box habits yet. She will play with toys. I'd like to wait it out until my day off thursday and if she's still doing it I can take her to the vet. But I want to make sure this isn't something more urgent. 

It could very well be allergies, especially if your weather is changing.  As long as there's no discolored discharge or change in eating, playing, or litter box habits, you're okay to wait.
