I already feed my little guy the Friskies Beef and Chicken Special diet for 2 of his 3 meals and Innova for the other in the a.m.. Total calories = 200 per day. The Innova went up $3/case since my last bulk order, while not a lot it's still a substantial increase per case.

That got me looking into Triumph Turkey cat food but it's very high in fat much like Evo 95%. He would only be getting it for his morning meal and i'm not sure if I should start feeding it to him.

                              P          F       C   Phos         P%     F%    C%       Phos      Cal/ 5.5oz

Triumph Turkey       27        67      6    213           41     42        10         1.14         223

                                                      P    F    C  Mg/Phos            P     F   C   Phos    Cal/5.5oz

Pate- Turkey and Giblets Dinner       41  51   8      338                45   23   9    1.3           187

Triumph has better ingredients but is high in fat. He would be getting this food once per day. He could stand to gain 1/2lb so a little weight gain would be welcomed.

Friskies Pate- I only feel comfortable feeding him 2 maybe 3 of these. They appear to be better balanced but have lesser quality ingerdients.

He had PU surgery (Penis removal) a year ago and has been doing great. Phos/mag content isn't as big of an issue now but I still try to find foods with acceptable levels. I still water his food down.

Cats actually do OK with a moderate amount of fat in their diet, I think adding the Triumph in rotation would be fine, especially since he could stand to gain a little weight. :)

I ended up going with the Triumph Turkey.

For any of those interested, pet360 has just put the triumph 12pk 13oz cans on sale for $12.50 dropped from the $16 that it's been at for some time. What makes the deal sweeter is the you can use code "Triumph" to receive an extra $10 off your order. So that means you could get 5 12pks of 13oz cans for $52 shipped if you wanted. A steal in my book.

Petfooddirect (They're the same, diff names) will honor the same code but won't let you also use the free shipping code along with it, pet360 does.  :)

Ordered it Wed and received it today. Good news is that they came in the new cans that have the easy open top. It smells as pleasant as cat food can and has the typical pate consistently. It has 525 cals per can.

And he devoured it. :) At half the cost of Evo 95% this is a downright steal as I pointed out in post 4.
