Mondays Question of the day - March 10, 2014

Good morning everyone!  The weather feels very spring like here today.  It's much appreciated!!

When was the last time you took a walk in the woods?  A walk on a beach?

I love to walk both in the woods (on a trail) or on the beach.  Both places relax me so much!  We have a trail close to our house that is pretty nice; even though it's not very long.  The last time we were able to walk on it was in December though.  It's cleared enough that I can pull my kids in their wagon.  I haven't beach-walked since last spring!  I'm ready!  As long as it's nice enough to walk barefoot; beach walking is great!  Especially at the end of the day when sun bathers are gone. 

The last time I did either of those 2 was months ago.  This is spring break so I intend on doing both of those! 

Not walked, but biked at the trail near my place. This was in early August. Now that it's getting warmer, I need to go back out there and exercise again!

October.  A friend called me up and suggested a walk along a local beach followed by a late lunch... how could I refuse and offer of lunch.    We walked about 3 miles in total, mostly on sand so I think I earned my food that day.  It was a grey day with a bit too much wind blowing against us on our way back to the car; I remember feeling like walking was very hard work for the last 20 minutes or so. 

I love to do both but it has been a very, very long time since I had a walk on a beach. Last time was 2006 in Cancun, Mexico. Mooch - I love to walk in the sand on a beach too. It is really great exercise to walk in the sand - barefoot even better.

A walk in the woods was last November in a really beautiful forest preserve back in IL.

I don't live next to the seashore, so the last time I walked on a beach was last summer, but just this morning I took a walk through a wooded trail. It was really nice.   And I saw some squirrels and rabbits while I was at it!

I agree about the weather - it's definitely getting a little nicer.

All I can think about now is walking on a beach. 

January 17th. We were meant to stay at the beach until the 18th but we were homesick and missed the cats. January Is summer in Australia.

This morning for both. I walked a wooded trail that came out on the water.
