Hi everyone!

My name is Christine and I have a six year old black furbaby named Merlin. He adopted me December 22, 2007-- the day before my birthday. He is a wonderful cat, very affectionate and friendly and playful. Really, he's an overgrown kitten!

Merlin curled on up his chair in my bedroom look closely and you can see Sotchy in this picture.

Welcome to the site! What a beautiful baby! I love his long 'ruff'.He'll need some extra attention right now ( as will your grieving sister) please keep us posted on how everyone is doing.

Thanks. Isn't he gorgeous?  I can't believe people don't like black cats, they're beautiful. He'll get lots, my sister had a good cry at the vet's when she said goodbye, and I broke down on Friday, though watching Merlin look for him makes me tear up. I hold him close to me and tell him I love him and it's going to be OK

Hi, welcome to TCS!  Merlin is very handsome and has such a sweet little face.  I have a black cat, too, my Blackberry...though she has short hair.  I am sorry about your sister's cat.  He was beautiful.  

Thanks! He's the sweetest cat there is. I was just playing spring chase with him. He's been a bit lonely since Sotchy went up to the rainbow bridge, so seeing Merlin play and be carefree is so good, shows he's doing OK.

Sotchy was a wonderful cat, we all miss him.

I'm so sorry about Sotches.   I can imagine the pain that you, your sister, and little Merlin are going through. The 3rd pic: "I didn't do it!"   He's beautiful, and Sotchy was too. It's nice to hear that he's recovering - our RB kitties will always stay in our hearts, forever.

Looking forward to hearing more tales about Merlin and his adventures with you. 

It was so sudden which is why it's so hard to understand, I think it was a saddle thrombosis and CHF.  Today, Merlin and I spent quality play time. 

I'm sure I'll have lots of adventures with Merlin, he's a character.
