Hi,

If the kitten is 6 weeks or more you can give it wet kitten food preferably mixed with a little kitten/cat milk. If you don't have that available you could try wet cat food, or cooked meat eg. chicken, fish (without bones obviously) tuna.

Never give kittens or cats cows milk as they can't digest it properly.

Keep kitten warm in a blanket inside a box perhaps with a warm water bottle at one side making sure its covered and kitten can move away from it if it gets too hot.

Take kitten to vets in morning for a check over. Keep looking for mother cat as she will most likely be looking for her kitten, she maybe injured and lying hurt nearby? Check the road near you.

Keep us posted on how you get on :-)

It's likely that mom and the rest of this litter are nearby, at about 4+ weeks, they can wander a bit and get lost.

If you can post a pic I can tell you it's age.

Or, if you can describe some details, like walking, is it up on all fours, back legs are stretched in a normal walking position?

Is it steady on it's feet, can it run at all?

Kitten needs KMR, depending on age, may drink from a shallow dish. Maybe not though. Depends on age and development.

Hi, welcome to TCS!  Bless you for taking in this kitten.  DH found a tiny kitten and we were all shocked that she was able to eat canned cat food and drink water from a little dish.  Some inmates at the prison where I work once found a kitten that was closer to newborn, however, and she had to be bottle fed.  (A teacher who used to work at the prison took her home.  I ran into the teacher in a shop not too long ago and the "kitten" is doing great all these years later.)

Hi Catwoman, I'm sorry I forgot to enclode details about kitten. Its funny how u asked about back legs stretched out, their not standing all the way up. It walks alittle n falls, but keeps trying. He is up for about maybe 30 at mmost but mostly sleeps a lot.The vets are keeping it to nurse awhile then guess what? He will be number 4to our house.People are calling me The cat lady. I just have a heart, a mussy one at that lol..
