Good morning, all!

Up early again, but at least Simba has stopped biting me to wake me up. He now tends to smack his nose onto my face a few times, then rub all over my head purring. It's much more pleasant than being chomped on until I'm up.

I have a mostly free weekend - yay! I have to do a couple of quick finishing touches on my niece's Halloween costume - just the hem and one piece of velcro - so I will definitely get it done in time - whew! Then I suppose I should clean the house, and would like to get to the library. We may go to an autumn craft sale with my brother and his wife. That would be fun, but I think it's supposed to snow here today!

Hope everyone has a good weekend - I have a purring cat on my lap, so mine is starting out really well!

Snow! already! aargh - do yet get heavy winters there? We were up early to as I have a 'doll and teddy fair' tomorrow and have to get prepared - up at 6 tomorrow, but at least the clocks go back so extra hour-YES. the kitties just lie about in the bright sunshine(cold but bright), or on my fabric and lace grrrr so i dont really get anything done. just snatching 1/2 hour to myself.
have a good weekend everyone

Yes, we get pretty cold & snowy winters here - and this year is supposed to be really snowy. So far this fall has been much warmer than usual, though. How are the winters in your area?

Susan, we are pretty lucky in the Midlands area. Although we do get nasty blasts of cold air straight from Russia! No tall mountains inbetween us and them apparently. If there is snow at all its usually after christmas, jan or feb. mainly its just yucky slushy stuff and too cold for real snow. they do get it bad up north, well bad for UK perhaps not bad for anywhere else! But as the Brits tend to be preoccupied with 'the weather' we think its bad. We dont have a climate here just weather!

Surprisilgly, the cats let me sleep in this morning. I think they are in training for the change to Daylight Savings Time. I have to work today, but I have fun things to do, taking product photos, doing some research. Its cold out today, suddenly the fall weather arrived in Ontario, but I like this time of year. I get to wear turtlenecks! Yay!

And I desperately need to vacuum - cat hair everywhere. I have carpet everywhere but the bathroom and kitchen, and I really don't like it.

Movin' on up!
I'm up, way too early. Got up, to go to the bathroom and had every intention, of going back to sleep. Just as I got settled, comfortably in bed, Pearl let me know that SHE had to "go". I wish that I could program that pooch's bladder, for weekends! She and Ike have had their pre-breakfast romp and are now chomping away.

As I was getting my first cup of coffe, Rowdy and Buddy went into their "Mommy, I'm starving" song-and-dance. Opie, of course, is still asleep.

Busy today: WalMart, fabric store and getting some laundry done. Bill insists on taking me out to dinner, tonight. Naturally, he had to twist my arm

So far out in left field I got lost
I'm up and getting ready to make a three hour drive with Mom, my brother and sister to visit our Dad's grave. We need to go and visit for peace of mind.

I hope you all have a wonderful day today.

I'm up early with you Eastern people. It's 6:42am here and it's still dark outside. Actually, it's probably darker than it should be, what with all of the smoke in the air from the brush fires outside of Los Angeles. Yesturday was a weird looking, murky looking day, and I would expect it to be the same day. The temp is supposed to get to about 94 degrees F. So, it will be another hot one today.

Hope, I saw on the news that they had to evacuate a bunch of people because of the fires - I hope everything is OK with you?

Everything is fine with me. I'm in Los Angeles. The fires are in Riverside County and that area. It's just East of Los Angeles. However, all of the smoke from those fires has darkened the sky, making it look like some kind of Alien planet or something.

Took Dakota and Sage in for their booster shots this morning and they both got carsick on the way home (yech!)....poor little guys. Shep is at the vet still....they had to sedate her to draw blood, get a urine sample and skin culture. She's so old and is having all kinds of problems lately poor little girl. We think she's in early stages of renal failure or diabetes and has a skin rash that won't clear up in spite of treatments for the last 6 weeks (sigh). But Muddy's URI is better today than yesterday!

Off to the local Walmart to sell raffle tickets to raise money for my humane society this afternoon. Cold and dreary day here all around!

Have no idea what we are doing, woke up earlier than I wanted to but hey got some good sleep in there
Made some oatmeal and honey biscuits. No coffee yet, my tastebuds for coffee has changed with this pregnancy which bites, even chocolate doesn't taste the same.

Guess we'll be lazy today, hubby still sick, flipping through channels...we should be eating out for lunch at this thai restaurant, ordering and then bringing it home

Nada much today, waiting for the cool front to blow through...
no snow here Suzy, I used to know someone who lived in Minnesota, and she would bring back pics of snow the same level as her house LOL! I was really jealous of her until she said she was responsible for shoveling it all away

Got woken up very early with Pixie's favorite game du jour: burrowing under covers and biting Mommy in the butt. Second favorite game: Pounce on imaginary prey all over the covers.

Just relaxing now, waiting for Sicy to come over for lunch!
Can't wait, she hasn't seen my kitties yet.

Hubby and I are supposed to work on the gate later this afternoon, now I'm feeling too lazy, may postpone.

Got up early this morning to go to a friend's house for breakfast and to help them lay concrete for their new shed. Just got home and have finished pizza for my lunch.

Hopefully, I am staying home and relaxing today, doing nothing at all. I could do with a nap.

Have a wonderful day you all!

Today I am having computer software problems. It's so frustrating. It started when I came onto this site and got a strange message. Something about a certificate expiring and that possibly someone is posing as this site and trying to obtain my personal information. Then all of a sudden my Kodak easy share software is messed up and I can't upload pictures!! AAArrrggghhhh!! I even uninstalled and reinstalled. My Norton 2003 is up to date and just ran a full scan yesterday but I'm doing one again now. If I end up having to redo my hard drive again I'm going to be PEEVED! I can't imagine what has happened!

Today Jake was playing on the cat tree and looked so cute. I have pictures but can't upload them right now
So I guess everyone will have to wait. Sowwy
Peaches was laying on the boggie mat. I think she was just guarding it and didn't want Jake to get on it.
But they did a nose to nose and Peaches didn't growl or hiss. So that's probably good. Right? Carmella doesn't seem to care as long as he doen't come near her.

Hallie is eating better. I'm keeping her in the spare room alone so I can track her intake and output a little better. She is on Hills K/D now and some high calorie stuff that I mix in her food. Today she seems much more responsive. She is such a cute little mite! She is so small... even when she gains more weight I think she will always be a wee one! I am going in her room and giving her fresh food every couple of hours (per the vet) and checking her litter box. There is a small cat perch in her room and she likes that. She also likes to lay in the closet on a folded up bathrobe on the floor in there.

That's that. I'm just trying to figure out my software problem and hoping some trojan horse or something didn't sneak in. I hope I don't have to spend all day working on this stupid thing. Grrrrrr

Well, I didn't get up early, but that's because we went up to Ft. Collins to give Dad his new computer, and there were network problems with his ISP (we think because of the sun thingie) so it took a LOT longer than anticipated. Then on the drive home there was a MAJOR accident involving a car, a semi and the retaining wall. It looked like the driver of the car was an idiot and trying to weave in and out of traffic, cut it too close to the front of the truck and lost the fight in a big way. So there was a big backup on the interstate. We didn't end up getting home until about 12:30.

Today we went Halloween shopping for decorations for Earl's club. He's in charge of decorating the place for this week since they are doing Halloween nights Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. That was fun, but it is always fun to spend someone else's money.

Tonight we're probably just staying home. I have some work to do on the computer and Earl is playing a game instead of helping me with the work.

Mike is a doofus. I had a big jar ready for my famous pickled eggs.
The eggs were cooling in the pan having been hardboiled. I was called away for a few minutes, and Mike said he would finish up for me. When I got back, the eggs were bobbing in the jar, and I went to put the jar in the :censor::censor::censor::censor: so they could get nice and hot and pickled. But wait....he actually cleaned up after himself? A first for him no eggshells in the sink...hmmm....I look closer, and see indeed, no eggshells at all, good boy!
Then I thought this is so out of the norm for him so I pull the jar out of the :censor::censor::censor::censor: and guess what? The doofus forgot to peel the darn eggs! He put them in the jar still in the shell! LOL
