I spent Saturday cleaning and part of my time was spent back here in the computer room. I needed to straighten things out and do some dusting.

Thought you might like to see where I am when I'm hanging out on the board.....(especially now that my desk is fairly clean)

And my cookbook bookcase....this is where I keep the cookbooks that I use most often and the more recent cookbooks. I love cookbooks and I'll take a cookbook and read it like a novel. That's Muffin's stroller in the picture, too. When the weather is nice, I'll take Muffin over to my sister's house and then Muffin and I will walk through town. Her town isn't that big, but it makes for a nice walk for us. I keep her stroller in the computer room because Muffin likes to hop in for a nap during the day.

Rick has his own computer and desk in the room, but I wouldn't dare show them to you. What's that saying....a messy desk is the sign of a creative mind or something like that? If that's true, Rick must have one of the most creative minds around!
His desk usually looks like it was hit by a hurricane. But he can find anything he needs in seconds; he knows where everything is and that's what's important. I don't know how he does it. I tend to stay away from his desk, unless I need to work on his computer (I'm the computer weenie in the family...what I don't do, my BIL will do for me).

This is a small room; it was actually our DS's room before he left the nest. But it works OK for us. One of things I always said I would never do is have a litter box in every room in the house. And we kept to that for years....until Muffin came to live with us. At the time, she was the seventh RugCat and we needed more litter boxes. Muffin came with her box and her own stroller. And she lived in this room for about a month or so, until she could get adjusted. So we added her litter box and then we put a litter box in the bedroom, too. We should have one more box, but I honestly don't know where we'd put it.

I love your desk! Mine is an absolute disaster area, but luckily it's not where my computer is - that's on a small table in the living room. Do people do a double-take when they see Muffin in her stroller?

Thanks! I looked for several years for a desk. Rick kept saying "Buy a desk!" but I kept telling him that I wasn't buying something until I knew it was what I wanted. And then one day, we were out with friends and stopped in at a furniture store. I walked over to the desks, saw this one, and "Rick! Rick! I found it!"
I can wait forever, if I have to.

People have gotten used to seeing Muffin over at my sister's place. But when I first started taking her for walks there, yeah, they did. They'd look at the stroller and then they'd say, "Lord, it's a cat!"
Muffin and I were out one night and an older couple came walking the other way. The man said something to his wife and they stopped to talk to me And then the guy said something about a cat. In a stroller. He'd seen it all. But the woman leaned down and talked to Muffin, told her what a pretty girl she was. And Muffin loves all the attention. She sits in her stroller while we're walking and she'll actually meow at somebody if they don't pay attention to her....and that really gets their attention! People stopped by when my sister was working in her garden last summer and say, "We haven't seen your sister and the kitty in a while. Have they come over lately?"

I can't walk her at our house. It's a busy road and all the cars make her nervous. I don't want to put her through that....going for a walk should be fun. She doesn't like to go in the car and she'll meow on the way over, but once she sees that it's walk-time, then she's a happy camper.

We got the stroller for Muffin when she was still living with Mom. Mom liked to go outside and sit in the swing in the yard at their apartment. Her friends would come down and visit with her. Muffin wanted to come outside, too, and a couple of times Mom brought her out in her lap. Well, that made me spastic.....it was only a matter of time before Muffin might jump down. And Mom could have never caught her. So we got the stroller. That way, Mom and Muffin could both be outside. It zips shut, so Muffin can't get out, not that she even tries. She's happy just to go for a walk.

Your desk is gorgeous Winchester. My husband has a desk that may even be worse that Richards!! His is too full so now its flowing over onto my hallway table. Arrg!!! That drives me mad. I am a neat freak. You are so kind to Muffin :) the stroller Is an awesome idea. Cleo and Neffie are our substitute third human child. They need a stroller!!

What a great computer room, Pam !!! And, SO CLEAN, your area anyway. :lol3: LOOK at all of those cookbooks and not surprised to see so many knowing you. :D  Love Muffin's stroller. I have a kitty stroller but used it for my Wilbur when he was with us and not able to walk the whole walk. He loved his stroller. Now Henry uses it. I tried Walden once. My most adventurous kitty. It was a huge flop and he was terrified. Although, I think if I kept taking him out little by little he may enjoy a short stroll inside the stroller. Anyway - it is fun to see where you sit when you are on TCS.
