I know petfooddirect, doggiefood, chewy, and their cousins are popular around here. I was disappointed when I went on them and found they didn't ship to Canada. If anyone can recommend sites similar to those that ship to Canada or are Canada-based, I would really appreciate it. I just started feeding my kitty a lot more wet food than usual, and the only way I can keep doing that is at reasonable prices.

Just bumping this up.  Since I live in the U.S., I can't help you out.  Sorry!

I have been ordering from Canadian Pet Connection, They seem to have some good stuff but I am not sure what you feed your cats.  Hope this is helpful to you.

If anyone else has some more sites I would be interested in them too.

Oh and if you don't see what you are looking for on the website, call or email them. I special ordered from them before when a product I wanted was not on their website and they took my info over the phone and sent it to my door. They have been great so far!

Thanks, 2crazykittens. That's a great resource to know about. They don't have the food my kitty prefers, which is Nature's Variety Instinct Limited Ingredient wet food (what a mouthful). Your experience with them sounds ideal, so I'll be contacting them and hopefully updating with positive news.

Great I am glad it might help! They are pretty good about ordering in what you need. If they can get it they will. :D

Well, they said they would order it, but it's not really a discount. Same price as the pet food store down the street. Sometimes I wish I lived in the states.

If I can find any more that delivers in Canada I will let you know. I wish I lived in the States too for this same reason. It is so hard to find good companies around here. Keep me posted too if you find anything.

I found PetLandCanada, PetFoodCanada, and Ren's Pets. Their selections are not as impressive as the US sites, but they're something.

I haven't personally ordered from them, but Homes Alive has discounted cases of wet food. It's still nothing close to the American sites from what I've looked at, but it's slightly better than most stores I've been looking at locally(but then again, everything in Manitoba seems way more expensive!). They don't have a huge variety of brands, I don't think they carry Nature's Variety either.

I looked around too and only saw the ones that were listed above.
Not much out there for us Canadians. Thanks for posting though. I order from Canadian pet connection only for the convenience of having the food delivered to my door, but there is really no discount.

If I find anything in the future I will post them.

I haven't found anything worth the bother either.

Even if Cdn pet stores had loyalty programs for canned food and not just dry food. That would help a bit.

@2crazykittens: Is there a delivery charge for Canadian Pet Connection? I live in Toronto so I was wondering if it would actually cost me more to order from them than to walk down the street to my nearest healthy pet store.

I will definitely post anything I find in the future. And I agree about the loyalty programs, @cocheezie. I think it may be up to their suppliers, though.

Yes they do charge. It is about 7.00 I think. I have not found anything for online discount stores either. Maybe we should make our own!

If you're reasonably close to PJ's Pet, that's apparently worth a visit.  I signed up for their email mailings and I keep getting email on discounts, some of which are pretty nice.

Canadian Pet Connection - wide variety of brands looks like, but no canned food? Bummer.

Today I went to my local PetValu (love the people who work in that particular store - great service) to get replenish my canned food – their store brand Performatin Ultra duck pate and Merrick's Thanksgiving Dinner 5.5 oz. They had only two cans of the Merrick's in stock @ $2.19 CDN a tin. Since my cat gobbles this down, I was forced to go 4 blocks further to Global Pets, where I found the same can for $1.89 CDN.
