Happy happy morning everyone!

Today, a year ago, was a bit of a sad day for me. There's this girl back home I've been friends with for years, since high school. Today is her birthday.

I've always had a soft spot for her, and I always think that in a different life, we could probably... you know, things could have worked out between us.

Last year, while wishing her happy birthday, out of the blue, she told me she was engaged. That came as a huge surprise, because it was a very well kept secret. But apparently she liked me enough to share it with me.

So yeah, I just got friend zoned so hard. :lol3: That's okay though. Aside from meeting in high school, we have almost nothing in common, and we both live in completely different worlds. And I never told her how I felt.

But still, it was not a good kind of day.

Tell us about a day that is significant to you, or to a loved one. Marriage, kitty adoption, RB day, birthday, graduation, big promotion, if it means a lot to you, let's hear it!

December 7th. While most people remember it as the attack on Pearl Harbor, it's the day my husband and I started dating. :)

June 7th.  DH was in the Air Force when we were dating and first married.  He came home from a deployment on June 7th while we were dating.  We were married the next year on June 7th.

October 13, 1971, the day our son was born. Rick came into the delivery room after he was born and he told me I was the most beautiful shade of green that he had ever seen in his life.
