It's always something! When I woke up this morning I found a whole claw just sitting on top of a storage box.  It was a bit alarming since Ghost didn't appear hurt or bleeding, so I checked his front paws.  There on his left front foot was a painful looking area where his claw had once been, it didn't bleed much if at all.  If I hadn't found the claw I never would have known it was missing!

I called my vet and let her know what happened and was prepared to take him in but she went ahead and gave me an antibiotic.  If anything seems off over the next few days she wants me to bring him in.  It seems like I'm there every other week lol, most of the time for Ghost or his meds.

It seems like along with any big health issues there are always a bunch of little things that pop up.  Every time I go there I tell them I hope I won't be back until time for yearly checkups and every time I'm back there within weeks lol.  When I go there I always buy a little cat blanket that they sell, the money goes into a fund to help clients who can't afford treatment.  I have four of them so far and they were all purchased within like a month and a half lol.

I'm going to trim Ghost's talon like claws once his foot is healed.

Ouch!! That has got to hurt, the poor guy. I hope he heals quckly and without issue. It seems like it would take a lot of force to pull out a claw. I wonder if he got it caught on something while he was jumping? Man, that sounds painful. :nervous:

I just realized a few months ago that my Bob is missing an entire toe on her back foot! She was a stray, but we've had her for almost five years. I felt awful that I never noticed before. :anon:

And I really like your vet's idea for helping with bills. What a great thing to do!
