We moved to a trailer park about 10 days ago and i notice a hughe ferel cat issue and the cats go under are trailer and get stuck in there for awhile anyway here are my questions

1 will replacing the missing peices of skirt siding were there no why under there will cats still be able to go under the trailer? If yes how do i cat proof it ,, yes im going to remove all cats down there before permnintly blocking it off.
2 I want to feed the ferels but dont know how to stop birds and dogs from eating the dry and how do i hid feeding the cats from my landlord? she lives right next to us lol I have like 60+ lbs of dry cat food at my old place I don't need.

I would also like some advice on the trailer park ferels.

I can't TNR in my area.

Don't feed them if you can't TNR. It will only encourage them to hang around and allow them to breed more---a steady food source means larger litters more often. You can try to convince the landlord to TNR, but that's about it :/.

If you fully repair your skirting, they'll probably move on to an easier place. But if they really want to get under there they will. My brother lives in a trailer court and the cats under his trailer moved on when he repaired his skirting. But only because there are a lot of trailers with bad skirts. If all the trailers had skirts in good repair they would still find some way to get in.

Willowy is correct. Although it seems cruel not to feed them, the opposite is true. Feeding makes them heathy enough to breed, which increases the population, which makes finding more food harder, etc. Don't feed them unless you can TNR them.

why you cant TNR?   Because the landlord is against?  Try and talk her over, and turn into your ally.   Good TNR programme will SOLVE much of the problems she probably has / thinks she has, with these ferals...

With a little luck, you will not only get her permit, you may even turn her into your ally and sponsor...

You dont afford?   There are  TNR and rescue groups around almost everywhere.  There are also a lot of vets and clinics who do spaying of homeless much cheaper than they do  pure breed home cats.

Its also probable you can talk some of your neighbours to help you with the cats as your neighbourhood project.  And as skissed above, hopefully get your landlord to co-sponsor you.

Plan along these lines!

Suitable feeding stations will solve itself, if you have the TNR going.

Tx for caring!

Good luck!

that seems strange.  Where in USA are you, maybe someone can help with advice regarding TNR clinics, transport etc.

There should be a rescue that might help you.  Even if they can recommend vets who work with feral cats, that would be something.

I was about to make the same post as Shadows Rescue - it looks very reasonable, starting at $40 for young males and $45 for females. Plus they have a no-kill adoption center which could be a good route to finding homes for some of the cats, especially young ones who would have a good chance of being rehabbed and finding a loving family to care for them rather than living outside.    It's a bit of a distance I know, but if they are like our local clinic they will help you with humane traps, advice, they may even have a local pick up location like a Petco where you can drop them off.   Do check it out, and as suggested before, you might be able to get your landlady on board if you pitch it as a low cost way to solve what she probably sees as a "cat problem".

Good luck.
