Hi, I'm new to this, and have just about exhausted myself, my phone, my laptop and my partner by obsessively seeking out 'cat labour' articles. Gobbolino is 67 days pregnant, has has a 'show', her milk is in, and she's been showing every single sign of impending labour....apart from labour itself. Kittens are active, she's eating little, but well enough, and this morning, started miaowing...which she has never ever done, she's a quiet girl, and I've never heard her miaow! Can we expect kittens soon?

Certainly sounds like it could be the start of things, most cats will get quite vocal during labour, good luck and be sure to post pics when the kittens arrive :-)

I really hope so, she's waddling about looking furious! I've been saying "it must be today" for about a week now! Has your cat had her kittens yet, or are you psychotically analysing her every move like I am with Gobbolino?! :)

Oh yes I'm right there with you, Daisy was a stray I took in when I realised she was pregnant so I had no real idea of her due date just guesses based on symptoms so I've spent the last 3 weeks thinking this is it only to be disappointed lol, there's a few of us on here with cats ready to pop any day now so you're in good company lol

I've never had a pregnant animal, I have a bit of a menagerie, dogs, rabbits, chickens and cats...they all get along superbly. And any day now, a few more to add to the madness. She's stopped miaowing, and has gone to sleep. Exasperating at times, isn't it?! Vet said there's no need to panic unless she's pushing for an hour, and there's no sign of a kitten. I'm a nervous wreck....I dread to think what I'll be like when my daughters become pregnant, if I'm this bad with a cat! :)

Yes same here, Ido remember us having a pregnant rabbit when I was a child but that's as far as my experience goes, my daughter is oly 5 so I have many many more years before I think about that lol

I have a five year old daughter and a sixteen year old daughter...and a thirteen year old son inbetween, so I'm very sympathetic with Gobbi's pregnancy and impending labour! Being a cat nanny is quite enough for me, I don't want to become a proper grandma for a long time! :/

Been to the vets, Gobbolino is ok, her temperature has dropped, there's no obstructions, vet said kittens are big, but she'll be ok giving birth, they're not too big. She had an internal examination, and has miaowed and panted since we got home ten minutes ago. No contractions yet though. Fingers crossed it'll be soon.

Heavenskitty, the vet thinks 3,maybe 4, but she said "Gosh, they're big", which didn't help with my paranoia about the labour! Gobbolino still hasn't popped, though she's very vocal, so maybe tonight....she picked her sister, Sootica's tail up in her mouth tonight and tried to take her off to her "birthing suite". Sootica was not impressed! Perhaps she doesn't want to be the birthing partner....? :D

Haha that is so funny, maybe she's practising for carrying the kittens around though if she is she needs way more practise lol, really hope it's tonight for you (and the rest of us)

Awww how cute...well no doubt that our queens are almost there...maybe they will all give birth at the same time...how funny. Silver stands by the door or window and cries..I dunno why...could it be she is looking for baby daddy?

Are you weighting the kittens on a scale every day?

Have weighed them. 110g, 107g and two 101g's. Will be weighing them daily. Mummy is eating, drinking and toileting, kittens are content, clean and feeding like gannets! So proud of her!
