I posted this on craigslist. You wouldn't believe what was hit with!!

For all cat owners (Pacific NW)

Please NEVER have your cat de-clawed! A Vet has to remove the "toe" section of their foot to do this. This means the cat will have to walk "flat-footed." Doing so will make them walk with their "ankles" at an abnormal angle. Their feet and legs are made so they can walk on their toes. By removing the end bone and causing them to walk flat-footed, they end up with debilitating arthritis and very sore feet, and if they get outside they will not be able to defend themselves or even climb to avoid being mauled or killed by a stray dog. PLEASE HEED MY WORDS! To de-claw a cat is inhumane and ignorant! If you do this to your cat, you are giving this poor creature a miserable life. PLEASE think before mutilating your cat. I do not apologize for the pictures. Thanks for looking.

You are so freakin right on about this I could kiss you!!

I have a cat rescue group and we will NOT adopt to anyone who even considers it as a possibility!! Amen to your ad!!

It should be illegal everywhere, now that we all know what is REALLY INVOLVED....

You just keep putting it out there, this ad is an excellent eye opener, as the pic says, vets don't tell all of the downside of declawing, so we should speak for the kitties who can't for themselves.

THANK YOU!!

Is there any way you could PM me with the 2 images attached? I would love to print these out and post them at our adoptions. Thanks!
