Please help

Please someone help this kitty.

HELP! Ive rescued a cat a few days ago with a terrible limp. His front leg/foot was very swollen and he wouldn't allow anyone to touch it, but from what I could see it did not appear that there was any visible external injuries. So I've been watching him like a hawk nonstop.

Just yesterday it started oozing blood and clear puss from one spot on his foot and by nightfall it was oozing from three different locations on his foot/leg area.

I wish there was something I can do for him. We've been in a bit of a financial bind with bills and the rent due myself..

There have even been talks of him possibly losing his foot/leg .or worse..

Does ANYONE have ANY ideas?? Thank you so much in advance!!

Call a vet to see if they will take him. They can check for a microchip and possibly find the owner. I wouldn't wait on this. See if the vet will see him at no charge or let you make payments. This sounds like a serious injury that is now infected. He needs to be seen.

take him to a vet and say u found him and think he was hit by a car, they will either fix him or put him down, this isn't a DIY kinda thing

Is there a no kill cat shelter near where you live? The vet could stabilize him until a shelter could take over his care. Thanks for what you've done so far. I wish people would keep their cats inside.

Thank all of you for ur kind replies I'm going to call around and say I found him and that I think he's been hit / even bit(maybe) by a spider or snake or something..(I'm in Houston Tx).

I thought it was a spider/snake possibly bc it was an issolated spot but now its spread to 3.. but I thought the car situation was a possibility but he doesn't appear to have a broken bones.

So I will take him to a vet and hope for a paymebt plan.. I can NOT have him euthanized. No way. He's too sweet.

Ah hah good news! There is a low cost pet center coming in the morning to the grocery store by our house. Yay!

I'm taking him asap in the morning! It breaks my 3.

Any ideas though on what it could possibly be? Poor guy.

take him to your nearest vet and say you found him in your garden, say anything .... BUT please get him treatment... you will be surprised at how people will rally when this is known to them... do not be afraid... think of this wonderful furry precious who has come to you to be rescued... do the right thing... the injury is serious very serious he needs to be seen....  we all will be thinking of you and wishing you well ... please let all of us know that he is OK and has been treated... someone out there WILL take him in
