Found a few places where lilly has little 'cuts' for lack of a better word they are scabbed over and straight lines found two one under her collar ar the front of her throat and one at the back of her neck under her collar. Now her collar isn't tight hubby can get three of his big sausage fingers under and I can get my whole hand under. She's find other wise eatting and drinking though has decided she is sick of her food in jelly :/ any ideas?

Do you have another cat?  I know my male cat, though both were fixed when they were kittens, will do the simulated mating thing.  He will mount her and bite on the back of her neck.  Every once in a while she will let him know she isn't interested and swat him.  It's so funny because if she will let him mount her afterward he will clean himself in that area.  I guess it's the kitty version of smoking a cigarette.

With the collar, does it seem to bother her at all, maybe trying to scratch and claw to take it off?  Or any skin reaction to it that might irritate her?

Nothing got a sharp edge to it on the colar like a buckle or clip that's got caught on something and got a bit broken so it's catching her skin?

I used to put collars on my tabby girls so other people could tell them apart but had to stop cox one of them hated it and I'd come in from work and find her with one of her front legs stuck inside the colar from trying to get it off.  She'd been fine wearing one for about 2 years and suddenly decided enough was enough.

Good luck finding out what's doing it.

The collar thing was what I thought of too. If your cat's don't fight, or go outside, perhaps it's the scratching around the collar. Mine wears on because he goes outside & I want it to be reflective but he dislikes it a lot. He scratches really hard around the neck area sometimes and we lose a collar every week or two where he scratches it off somewhere. Safety snap buckles are great for the cat, but not my wallet!

If your kitty doesn't go outside, perhaps take the collar off for a week or two and see if the scratches stop?  I would possible check for fleas too? The can live all of winter because of central heating now. Booo!

Good luck :-)

Perhaps it's just one of those things then.  She may have been exploring in the house and caught herself on something and scratched herself, or just done it with her own claws. It doesn't at the moment sound anything to worry about, esp if she's never had them before. Perhaps just keep an eye on her to see if you get any more scratches and go from there?
