Hi there!

I'm a 24 year old German cat Mommy. I got my first cat, Mikko, when I was about 16. He was 7 months old then and had been hit by a car a few weeks before, but luckily he made it. Unfortunately he was living with my Dad and stepmum, while I was living with my Mum. He still lives there now and I get to see him rather rarely due to the distance.

When I was 19 I moved to Finland where I met my boyfriend who is about as crazy about cats as I am. Perfect match, you see. :D
We got our two ladies in November 2012. Phoebe is 1/4 Bengal and 3/4 God-knows-what, but she most definitely has the temper of a pure Bengal. She was 11 weeks old when we got her, which was a bit too early, but you never really know what happens with leftover kittens on Finnish farms, so I didn't wanna risk it. Two weeks later we got Ruska (the name is Finnish for autumn foliage or autumn colors), about 2 years old at the time, beautiful but extremely shy calico. Even though their characters are rather different, with Phoebe being outgoing, daring, excited about everything and everyone, loving every cat and human she meets and Ruska being insecure, almost frightened at times, they became best friends in no time.
Ruska probably had some bad experiences with humans before she came to us, but she changed for the better now.

In December 2013 we moved to Germany from Finland with both of them. We went by car, which was a bit of an odyssey, but the cats did fantastic and love their new home here.

That's about all for now, I guess. :D

to TCS! Your kitties are beautiful.

Ruska's name purr-fectly matches that beautiful calico coat of hers, and your two mini-panthers are gorgeous. Is that a tiny white splotch I see on Phoebe's coat, or is it just the light?

I love Mikko's little green monster toy. He looks very proud of it.

I'm looking forward to seeing more tales and pictures of your crew.

Ruska already had her name when we got her from the animal shelter.
Her name indeed fits perfectly and she recognized and listened to it, so we didn't even think of renaming her.

You saw right, Phoebe has a bit of white on her chest. :D

There are sure a lot of stories about those two... lets see when I find some more time to tell.
