Hi everyone I've been reading through other posts. My cat is pregnant, not sure how far she . Been seeing the kittens move for over a week now. She is not very fussy prefers to be some where quiet. have noticed the kittens are not moving as much. she moves blanket about in her nesting box when no one is around but that's all she will have to do with it. she eats a lot but doesn't seem to be drinking much. is this normal? this is my first lot of kittens and so nervous x

Been seeing the kittens move for over a week now.
It shoulndt be no more than about one week left...

I will send some links in the evening, in in 10 hours...

Is she eating much canned / wet food?  If so, she doesnt need to drink much extra.   If she ates most dry, try to get her to drink more.  Have perhaps some tuna juice in her drinking water.  Or a little cream...   Several different dishes with water may also help some.

Drinking fountains are very effective to get cats to drink enough.

Good luck!

Good you isolate them cats.

If they were best friends, the isolation wouldnt be necessary.  But as they arent, and I suppose she felts threatened by the other females...   Mom must be kept unstressed.  If she wants to be left alone be her "room-mates", let her be for herself.

Here are the promised links on birthing...

If you have any question or comments, please ask.  I or somebody else will answer!   :)

Good luck!

Well I went to the Vet on Monday and he did an Xray and the babies have their skeletons formed completely already..you can see the babies all formed..so we do know she is over 8 weeks so he said she should having them by the end of this week..meaning Friday or weekend. ...im so anxious. ..and she is having 6 babies! Are her babies vesible with the naked eye when they move?

I guess her temp has dropped as shortly before the delivery..  a quite some drop, the normal temp in fore leg armpit is about 99.   When falling, 96-93 perhaps...   Yours more than average.

So yes, I guess her howling is the beginning of labor.   Most cats dont howl, they try to be quiet, but I suppose a home cat who feel safe, may give louds from her...

Holding thumbs and sending *vibes!*
