So not looking forward to today (Wednesday)

I'm on vacation this week. Tomorrow our Hydro is going to be off for 8 hours during the day from 8am to 4pm.  This means that there won't be any heat, or hot water, or internet or television and no elevator service, which means I"m trapped in the apartment.  And the very worse, if I want to have a nap, I can't because I use a CPAP machine and without it I stop breathing and suffocate when sleeping.

I've charged my eReader and my phone. I recently switched phone providers so I'll have internet access with it if I need it.

But man, this is going to suck!  I had planned to do laundry and bake a some cupcakes and decorate them tomorrow to take to French class on Thursday.

Guess I'll spend the day cleaning and organizing my spare bedroom.

That stinks!  I'm in the US (Georgia) so I don't understand, why is everything going to be off?  Forgive my ignorance.

Aw, geez, I'd be upset, too. (And cold!) Are you going to be OK without heat?

Ugh, is that even legal? >.< I hope you get through the day without incident! 

My mother's neighborhood goes through times when they turn the water off to do maintenance and flush things; but geesh can't that wait for spring!?

Power came back on about 4:30 pm.  Major snow storm happening today, lots of wind and freezing!  I spent the day huddled up in bed under the covers because I just couldn't keep warm otherwise.  I even had all 3 cats in bed with me crawling under the covers looking for warmth.

I don't know why the Hydro was off today, it was also off for a day a couple weeks ago. 

It's going to take awhile for the boiler to heat up enough to get heat through the building.  So I'm going to turn my oven on high and leave the door open.

Be sure to keep curious kitties away! ANd stay warm! ANd toasty!

Oh, no! Hope everything was okay during the snow storm. Stay warm and cozy! 

In summary: Kitties=furry warmth. Furry warmth=the best type of warmth. Therefore - kitties are the best type of warmth.   

I don't blame you for turning your oven on....good grief, you must be freezing. Hope you and the furkids are nice and toasty now.
