to TCS and congratulations on your first indoor cat! Ms. Kitty looks adorable and she does look like she has a streak of crazy in her - love the pic where she's stuck in the laundry hamper, and a very fitting princess pink one for her.

Some cats respond to clicker training (or food training) and some cats don't. Alaina isn't food-motivated, so I haven't ever tried training her, but many members who have trained their cats can give you some advice on that.

There are a lot of commercial food brands out there (e.g. Hill's, Blue, Wellness, Fancy Feast, Royal Canin, etc.) You may have heard about the "big cat food debate" - whether dry/wet kibble/both is best. IMO, both are nutritionally complete, but canned food has a much higher moisture content. I feed Alaina Hound and Gatos beef variety (that's the only variety she will eat) canned and Wellness Core dry food. There's a whole wealth of cat food reviews on the Internet and here on TCS: http://www.thecatsite.com/products/category/cat-food

As for toys - it's really a trial-and-error process. Many of us have whole boatloads of cat toys that our cats have labeled as passe.
I'm sure that Ms. Kitty will pick a favorite very soon. Some popular toys are Da Bird, Cat Dancer, and a variety of laser pointers.

I look forward to hearing more about and seeing more pictures of Ms. Crazy Kitty.

She seems pretty picky on her food. She doesn't like any of the fish flavors, she prefers chicken. Lol also she likes rubber bands, hair bows, anything with feathers, and flowers more than any of her toys. Anddd the only treats she likes are the Pounce moist chicken flavor. I was told to try giving her a catnip toy, but won't that just make her crazier?

Are all kitties this picky? Lol if she could have things her way, she'd eat people food and cuddle all day. She even likes belly rubs. I think she thinks she's a dog :lol3:

Ms. Kitty is beautiful and looks like she wiil probably be running your house very soon. I have a very spoiled cat, Tiki, and he runs the show. He ate only dry food, Iams Healthy Naturals for the first few years. I added canned food at about five. Fancy Feast Classic chicken was advised but he eats other Classics now too. He won't eat any other types or higher priced. He eats Blue Buffalo dry now also. His fav toys are Da Bird and other stick toys, anything that's attached to me. He demands a lot of attention or he will let you know. He doesn't care much for catnip and I've tried a lot. He loves his high cat tower, wish I would have bought it sooner.
