First off, I have never invited a cat to our home, we are all allergic. Oddly, seven years of constant uinintentional cat rearing has curbed our allergies somewhat. We live on a farm that seems to be the sweet spot for feral cats. We have trapped and released over 9 cats and found homes for 7 litters...finally found a wonderful cat rescue who helped us this past fall when we had 15 kittens by three feral moms in three months. Thought we were DONE! Then, two weeks ago, we find a frightened cat on the top f our playset...thankfully not feral, but a pet obviously. After asking around, found that a family down the road was evicted and let their two house cats loose bc they cold not take them...one was hit by a car in front of our farm...:( we saved this one, but you guessed it, she is pregnant. We can feel the kittens kicking, so maybe 2-3 weeks from delivery? She is a beautiful cat so we are hoping since she is tame, finding good homes for the kittens will be easier...help encourage me on this next litter and pray that this will be the last for a good while. We have made a family decision to keep her and she will be spayed asap after safely weaning. Will check back in to share progress!

Thank you so much for being so proactive in TNRing and finding homes for all those kittens! (I, myself, am dreading the impending kitten season. Hoping all these cold spurts here in the south delay the start!) This momma kitty is very lucky to have found you. Sending lots of thoughts, prayers and good vibes for a healhy litter of kittens!

Welcome to The Cat Site.

Thank you for trying to help these cats. I live in a rural area with lots of feral cats too so I know how you feel. I've managed to trap and neuter or spay over 20 cats in the past 2 years but it seems like your never done. There is always another hungry cat showing up looking for a safe place to stay.

You've done a great job in re-homing so many litters. I think finding homes for kittens that come from a relatively tame Mum will be easier than kittens from a feral mother. Such a shame that the two cats were abandoned like that, I'm really glad that you could give her a home.

I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes with this new Mum and her babies. Keep us posted and let us see some pictures too. We love pictures.

Why YOU?  Because the Cat Goddess knows you will take care of her needy subjects.  Or, as Bob Dylan says in his song, "You're gonna have to serve somebody."  You have been chosen.

Thank you all for such sweet support! I honestly thought I would go crazy when we had 10 kittens and three recovering spayed/neutered ferals in our screened in porch...one had a wolfworm that had to be excised, all needed to be dewormed, 8 really hard to catch...amazing help from rescuer who helped take in two of the three litters when I neared exhaustion...I just got an email from family who adopted one of many kittens three years ago, they live in California now and their cat is the most lovable! Many families helped correct a baaaaad situation, so thankful!

Here is Fergie today, thinking maybe two weeks away and 3-4 kittens, have no idea how old she is or if this is her first litter...taking her in to vet next week...

How precious! Bless you for caring for these poor babies, I hate to think of where they would be without you. Keep up the wonderful work!

Fergie is so tired of being pregnant, slowed her eating down the past two days...guessed she would have them this week, Wednesday to be exact...hoping soon!

THEY ARE HERE!!!! Oh my!! I predicted it to the day! (I will take donations if anyone wishes me to guess their cat's due date :) ) We were gone to dance practice and came back in 4 hours and she had 5 kittens!!! We felt awful no one was here with her but she did great!! Cleaned them all up! We got this picture before I put the gloves on and put them on dry bedding....just praying this is IT! She felt kind of heavy still when I picked her up but did not want to feel for a baby in case it was too tender...they are all latching on and eating, just thankful that all are alive! She has one black, two I think that are gray/white and two that are black and white :)

She even had them inside the Meow Clinic! :)

Correction! One gray (but white belly), two gray/white, one black and one black and white...

Maybe a tricolor in there? Hard to tell?

Four days old, they seem to be thriving, one just is not as boisterous but still seems to nurse well...momma is doing very well and tolerates us checking in on her :)

Fergie is one beautiful cat. She looks so proud of herself. I hope her babies will be pretty as she is. Congratulations.
