I took on an abandoned pregnant Cat, I have no idea how far on she is. She has not eaten for 48 hours. she has had very little water and the same with cat milk. Her nipples are white. How would I know if she has miscarried without taking her to the vet? Please help

I think you must with her to the vet anyways. ASAP.  Something is wrong there. If she doenst drinks anything....

If you know how to forcefeed fluids, try this.  If it is OK with the rest, you may perhaps wait and see, if she seems oK otherwise.

But if you cant forcefeed, she must have fluids.  If she gots dehydrated she will go down fast, miscarriage or not...

Sorry, I am away in next few hours...  I hope more folks arriwes and help to guide you.

This seems like an emergency situation.

Tx for helping this sis of ours!

Good luck!

ps.  While you wait for others to arrive and advice, use the time to write down more info about this cat, how she seems to be, how she seems to feel,  what country you are in, etc...

But as said, I strongly suspect this is a serious situation needing a quick vet help, unless you yourself are good at practical household medicine... Or have some friend or neighbour who is.

Okay thank you for your advice.

At the minute she is in her box and appears to be snoozing. I am in the UK

How is it going now?  good she drank some.  Does she eats?  If not, try to give nourishing fluids...

Watered down canned food.  Goat milk is always good.   Goat milk with egg yolk in it...   Kitten mother milk replacement... (kmr of some brand - in UK there are aplenty of them, the best are based on goat milk).   Water down perhaps a little, so you are sure she gets fluids aplenty.

Make sure she has it warm, and is not stressed.   Rescued cats do often sleep very much in the beginning, so it is probably just normal.  But she must have fluids and nourishments...Especielly if still pregnant.    It is just immediately before delivery as some dont eat or drink much.

Why do you think she perhaps had miscarriage??

Good luck!

She has had some cat milk (though a syringe  several times). she has drank a little water too. She is sleeping now. I could not  feel any kittens moving. I had someone with more knowledge to check how far along she is, they believe her to be 5 weeks. (They were unsure of any movement of  kittens).  I have spoken to R.S.P.C.A and they have offered to pay for her to go to the vet so I am happy about finding out what is happening. I will let you know the outcome once I know. Thank you for your advice.
