I'm on the hunt for recipes that will go well into tupperware to reheat at school. I have access to a microwave, and I'm planning on spending Sunday afternoons cooking two or three recipes a week to last through the school days.

However, my own repetoire was just exhausted-I know how to make stir-fry, curry and cabbage rolls to make and take. But mostly I'm an oven-baked housewife.

I'd REALLY appreciate any help in this subject, as my regular cooking is not really too good for a re-heat.

Thanks in advance!

I used to go for a big pot of throw anything in soup....  some kind of lentil or beans to give protein and carbs, and pretty much any vegetable you have.  Keep it chunky, blend it to smooth, or blend half so you get variety through the week.

I'm pretty sure I posted a pinto bean recipe on the site which is filling and heats up really well too.  As would any other soup recipes I've posted.

I'll have a look to see if I can find a cracked wheat and lamb mince recipe I used to make as well - it's like a baked loaf that you can have hot or cold.  Added flavours of cumin and mint.  Really tasty.

Pretty much anything you can make in the oven can then be re-heated in a microwave. Mac and cheese is great re-heated, so is beef stew. Don't limit yourself there.  Soups, casseroles, stews, etc. All can be cooked, then re-heated without a lot of hassle.

Go to the Recipe Exchange for some good recipes that you can make on a Sunday afternoon. You can then portion them out and reheat them.

See my signature in this post for the link.

Yesterday I made 15 bean Cajun soup (Hurst) with hot Italian sausage in the crock pot.  Super easy and freezes well.

If you have Facebook you can search for a page called "Crockpot Ladies".  Lots of really good recipes there.  And tips on using the crockpot.

I think I saw a pininterest thingy for them as well.  I'm FaceBook intolerant, LOL!
