Hello, New Cat Mom Here!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself. I joined the site today after spending a long time going through the forums and reading the wonderful recommendations and advice found here! I rescued Mindy, my now five month old kitten, from a no kill shelter in January and a month later adopted Comet, a four month kitten, from a foster parent. They are besties and spend a long time grooming and sleeping with each other. I am learning a lot about cats and myself by watching and playing with them. They are both my first pets Ironically, I was a dog lover and I hated cats for a long time...it wasn't until I met my friend's kitten that I fell in love with the feline race! I couldn't resist and got my own Now, I wish I had cats a long time ago. I am very newww to cats and having a pet so I'm very happy to be here

 to TCS! Mindy and Comet are adorable and they definitely seem inseparable. Welcome to the Cat Side, too - we have catnip (we're glad you didn't join the Dog Side - just kidding!)   I'm sure you'll learn a lot about our feline friends here.

Haha, thank you!! My cats still don't understand catnip. I was told they won't appreciate it until they're 6 months old!

Your babies are so cute, I love that they are best friends already. I am sure they will bring you tons of joy.

As for catnip, some cats never like it.  My Toogie thought it quite beneath his dignity if I tried to give him a catnip toy.  Others just adore it.

Welcome, newbie here too. Your kitties are beautiful. I envy their love for each other since Tiki is an "only" and so spoiled that I doubt that he would like to share.
