As there do occurs double pregnancies, two different litters simultaneously, usually about three weeks apart.

Both litters may be entirely healthy.   My ex-neigbour has a cat from such a second litter.

I presume it is what is oncoming here...

Are you anxious to have the kittens?  If no, my definite recommendation is you do catch her as soon you can manage, and let spay her NOW.  So early in the pregnancy it is no big deal.  Not medically and really not ethically either.

The foetuses will btw not be able to live before two-three days before the expected delivery.   Kittens born earlier than thee days too early usually dont survive, however the owner fights for them. 2-3 days too early they may have a sporting chance.

Best if if you can catch her and bring her inside (if you can and such is your wish). This both if you want to spay her ASAP, or if you wish her to deliver her kittens at first  (in that case, the spay will typically be done 8 weeks after the deliver).

Please come back with reports and questions!

Good luck!

(ps.  signature Nighhawk seems to have such a "two litters at the same time".

There are also several threads going on now about adopted  homeless...

ps.  a dominant tom may mate anyways, heat or no heat.  Just a sort of molesting.

so it is another reason to cut off the situation, and take her inside.  trick her in, or have a towel on her, wrapping her up, and carrying to her new rooom....

You wrap her up, so she cant scratch.  You carry her to her own room, prepared with everything she need, including a hidey place like a cat igloo, and let her out there, alone.    No other cats in there! Not yet anyways.

Also, unless your cats are healthy and used to roam outside, you must have some quaranteen /isolation, say two weeks.  But if they ARE used to roam outside, and perhaps already pals with her, you dont need to overdo the quaranteene.   Just not several hours after you took her in, not to risk any acts of redirected aggression. where she may uses her frustration and excessive adrenaline on the nearest, a cat her size and sort...

Also, you want to have her dewormed and defleased before they met

Otherwise, a common trick is you take her, perhaps by wrapping up in a thick towel, take her into a carrier (or suitably prepared plastic laundry basket), and directly take her to the vets.  (she can wait in the dark nice carrier "a dark nice hole" several hours till the vet is ready - also cooling down some.)

So most rescuers dont wait till they have the trust and are befriended. they begin with the vet, and build up trust and friendship AFTERWARDS.

the vet gives her some calming if necessary, does a check up, and does the spaying.

If she is entirely healthy, he can do all the works at the same time;  deworming, deparasiting, spaying.  Perhaps even vaccinating.

If she isnt entirely healthy, or weak from starvation / exhausted, it is better to take this in a couple steps, even three different steps   As everything at once is too much on a weakened individual.

After it, she comes home to you, to her prepared nice, cozy, room. YOU do open up the carrier, being hereby her hero and getting her gratitude...

Here she  rests and recovers from her spaying wounds, and probably some fever after the vacc...   And she sees now this room as her safe place.

If your cats are already her buddies, you can let in them quite soon. to bring her comfort. Begin with the friendliest, the most caretaking...

Good luck!

I have a queen who is strictly an inside cat. When I was new to breeding she was 5 weeks pregnant and my friends came by and she accidentally got outside, her already being pregnant I wasn't too concerned because she would never wander far. All of a sudden we heard what sounded like a cat fight and I rushed outside because my Issy doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. And a fluffy ginger tom had decided to give her a go. I freaked out because I saw something coming out her vagina a bit later and rang the vet right away considering I was a novice at the time. The vet said they let off the same scent when pregnant as they do when in heat and mating while pregnant especially late in pregnancy can cause miscarriage or early birth due to parts of the mucus plug being removed each time. So be careful and if you can keep her inside and protect her.

Bring her in if it is at all possible for you.   Especielly as now she is vet checked, so this moment of the fostering process is done.
