A new question for a new month!

Today's question's inspiration came from a similar thread about naming cats.

How did you pick your forum username? If your username is either <catname>, <yourname> or <catname's mom> or a variation of the above, do you have other public usernames you use elsewhere, either other forums, or maybe instant messengers?

Caution!  For your safety, please do not share usernames that are not meant to be publicly visible, such as email usernames, sign-in names for banking or similarly sensitive purposes, or any other usernames that may personally identify you.

Happy 1st Day of March!

I created my username using <catname's mom> (AlainasMom). On other forums I have the same username, since I (mostly) participate in cat forums. I have used my first name plus a couple numbers on several non-cat related forums. On the dog forum I participate in I use the <dogname's mom> format.

My user name is from the name of the cat who brought me here, Jamie, who passed away one year ago today.

I have other impersonal user names for other forums. They generally have some connection to the type of forum.

Winchester is the family name of the brothers on Supernatural. I've only used it here.

My name is Pam

When I was a poster on the Slate (MSN), people referred to me as peaches since I was from GA. It just kind of stuck.

Where my cats are
Mine is for my girls, Mooch and Noodles. :)

I only go on a couple other boards. Mostly for baby/kid type things. I keep those more impersonal.

A catspaw is a small wave that curls over, and a tool used to pull finish nails. The 66 is my tribute to the Mother Road, Route 66.

So therefore, my Navy and carpenter pasts are added to my favorite road and catspaw66 came into being. I have used that name for 20 years, long before this site was started.

This is the only forum I go on. I don't even use Facebook, Twitter or the like.

My name means bee and I added the other parts to make it long enough to be used as a username on the internet.  I use the same username for every forum that I am part of.

Pam and Dean!

I don't really know where I got Fhi from. I've used Fhi and another one - banedon17, for as long as I can remember. I use banedon when Fhi is unacceptable because it's too short. Banedon was a character from my very first English fantasy novel. 17... I have no idea. 09 was my old graduation year, so I stick it at the end, usually to meet length requirement.

Penny is my nickname at work, but I think someone already had "Penny" as a username.  I chose Penny Wise from the saying, "Penny wise, pound foolish" because I'm so bad with money.  I'll buy most anything as long as it's on sale, even if I don't need it.  I inherited that from my Grandmother.
But she survived the Great Depression, so she must have been on to something, right?
