Yes I watched it on the BBC last year and I saw it again when they repeated it just before Christmas . It's a really interesting program and illustrates how little we know about cat behaviour once their beyond the cat flap.

I found it interesting that the cats had worked out a shift pattern to cut down on conflict when they were out and about . It was funny that so many of the cats steal each others food little wonder they put on weight .

BBC Horizon do some really great programs here in the UK it's one of my favourite TV shows , well worth a watch

@Andrya  .....Thank you so much for posting this documentary.  I watched it last night and I think I have to watch it again, because it was so good.

I never knew that cats have "different purr" sounds, as at 47:00min into the program.  I think I am going to try to hear if my Spotty's purr's are any different.  lol.

@Merlin2000   thanks for your comments about the show, too. because I never would have thought about the "weight" thing or shift patterns.

The only documentary on cats that I remember watching here in canada was the one with Joanna Lumley (formerly from Absolutely Fabulous).  Her series had more to do with the history of cats and why some people liked them and others did not.  (I didn't like... or get the part where some people don't like cats...."barbarians"

I say...sad)

Hi  @cat nap   l'm glad you enjoyed it, l thoroughly enjoyed it too. l'm originally from England though, so even looking at the town and hearing the accents was nostalgic.

What amazed me was how many cats with cat-flaps there were in such a small village!
