Now that's how to spend a snowday! I think it's about out of here now! The Weather Channel estimates 5.5" for my area. It's really hard to tell in my yard because we've had the wind blowing the snow around. I've heard there is ice beneath the snow. I heard the roads are icy still. I'm glad we aren't leaving the house! I've been taking some pictures of the birds in my yard today. It wasn't till I was looking at these pictures of the cardinal later that I noticed the little icicles on the tree.
I need to go get a picture of DH's car. I just looked out; it's iced for sure!! Mine is in the garage!

Here in SW Nebraska we got a dusting as usual. But COLD!!!! our highs were 10 one day and 7 Sunday. There is a light at the end of the tunnel: 60 degrees Thursday! I think I'm ready for that and rain instead of snow!
OMG! I'm so sick of this weather!!!!!!!!!!!! Major snow storm yesterday, mega snow fall again today! It's gotten so bad that the weather people don't bother issuing warnings anymore, they issue "weather statements"

It snowed much of the night and part of this morning. I went out early and it was actually "nice" compared to what we had. Sunny, cold, but nothing like we've been getting, but within 2 hours it was windy and downright freezing again!
The weather statement is gone, and we actually had a UV Index report today. Something we haven't had for about 5 months.
We actually got to 5 degrees Celsius today!!!! That's almost beach weather here!!!!! LOL

5 degrees Celsius is barely above freezing. But after minus 50 degree temperatures, 5 degrees above feels like beach weather.

It is supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow (!?!) and then rain the next day. Yay! More mud!
Maybe I should just run a hose around to the front door and start hosing off the dogs before they come inside.
At least I can finally take them on a nice, long romp through the woods tomorrow. In the 2 months we have lived here, it has been either too icy or way, way, too cold for us to explore. Plus, the wussy, little pit bulls don't like getting their feet wet or cold. :uuh: I am used to labs!
