Get Ready....

We're supposed to get 8-10 here in MO. Not too worried, I'm a teacher so a snow day means more time to cuddle with my baby girl on the couch!

We were supposed to get 2-5 inches. I think we got 8 :/. And the temp didn't break zero today. Ugh.

This winter has been terrible, weather-wise. We got 8-10 inches today and it was snowing the whole day. I couldn't even go outside because it was so cold, and there were a lot of traffic jams and accidents.   I would really appreciate a free plane ticket to California right now!

It's coming down here, started about an hour ago.  So far it's just snow rather than ice.  I think the ice would be far worse, not only for getting around in but also it usually causes power outages.

Mixed rain and ? here in southern Ohio. The worse is coming later. Fingers crossed for no ice.

Yup! The day after I retire. I swear.

It now seems that we are escaping the brunt of the storm. Last time on TWC and on our local news, we have gone from 12+ inches down to 4 inches, starting with snow showers this afternoon, heavier snow tonight, and cloudy skies on Monday. It seems the snow line has moved considerably south of us. I'm not complaining, not in the slightest. But we shall see what happens soon, I'm sure. 

Rick did call the snow plow dude because we knew we couldn't keep abreast of the snow by ourselves. If we do end up with just this, though, we should be OK. And both Rick and I will be going to work on Monday.

Thursday and yesterday we had a blizzard. Yesterday there were windchill and blowing snow advisories. I woke up this morning to this!!  And I predicted it months ago! It's never nice on my birthday!


And the good news is that it's supposed to be like this all week long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :wife:

Our forecast is down to 3 inches now.

Happy Birthday, mine is Monday. I won't complain after seeing your temperatures, now that's cold.

There's no snow today! Hopefully March is bringing springtime tidings.

We will take some of that heat stewball! I think my area could get up to 8 but another forecast said 11. Only a little ice though so that is good! We stopped at a few stores and got gas after church today. You could tell people were out getting ready. The stores were busy, roads crowded, etc. Blah! Would you believe some people here are excited!? I want to get them with a good snowball or two!!

We only got a couple of inches.  It's gotten cold again but not as bad as it did earlier in the year.  Hopefully we're getting to the end of this winter.

Same here. 1/2 inch of ice, covered by 8-10 inches of snow was predicted. We got around 1/2 an inch of slushy snow, total. I was actually looking forward to the snow this time. The yard is all muddy from the last time and I am sick of cleaning muddy paws and prints every time I take the dogs out.

 All one of my GFs at work could talk about on Friday was The BIG Storm. She was ecstatic about it, to the point where we all just wanted to take her outside and roll her into a huge snowball. And then hose her down. We were all angry with her. You would not believe the things we wanted to do to her!

It's still coming down here. My bird feeder has been crazy busy! I probably have twenty birds or so right now. DH took a sick day; he really could use a rest day. I heard we have ice beneath the snow so I'm glad he is home. I can't tell how much we got yet. It's pretty powdery looking. The kitties are enjoying all the bird action.

Got a few inches.  Went to Dollar tree and they were closed at 1030AM but had power. 

We wound up with just a coating of snow.  For once Jersey lucked out, this has been one helluva winter.

Thanks everyone!  It was too cold to go out, so I spent a quiet day at home. I did make chicken stew for dinner and had some wine to take off the chill
