Hi, new, just joined.

My cat recently started drinking tons of water and peeing.  Plus acts strarving and eating excessively.  Has no energy and lays around.  I think I should take to vet for diagnosis?

Hi and welcome

Absolutely.   lt sounds like he/she should see a vet right away. The symptoms could also point to hyperthyroidism (or any number of things). Kudos to you for being an awesome kitty-mom (dad?) and looking into this immediately.

Keep us informed on how it goes. Sending vibes for both of you

Hi

Thanks Andrya...       We love our little Blondi........ he is a tabby that adopted us two years ago when our neighbor passed away from cancer.  He is so sweet and loving and it pains us so to see him laying around and acting like this.  We have an appointment for Friday afternoon.  We have no idea of his age as he just appeared when the neighbor left this world.  Hoping the vet can determine his age too.  I will keep you all posted!!

Ok, finally got an appointment today at 2 pm Pacific time for Blondi's check up. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worse..... this will be the first time he has gone in a carrier to a vet... they say they will check for a chip as well....
