Cat licking Himalayan salt lamps.

We have a new cat in our family. It is the first in nearly 10 years so I am re-learning a lot of things. I have a couple of Himalayan salt lamps on the mantle that I have seen him lick a couple of times. Is this unsafe? Should I put them away?

Well, they ARE salt rocks, right?   I would say if he just licks them once in a great while and walks away, you're ok, but if he sits there and licks them quite a bit, I would remove them.  Too much salt would not be good for him (or YOU either )
