Cat panting after exercise

I've noticed my cat panting after strenuous exercise, like running back and forth and jumping for 5 minutes. It lasts less than 15 seconds I think. Is this ok?

Some panting after strenuous activity is normal and cats do this as a way to cool their body temperatures to bring it back to normal. Fur-licking and perspiration through the pads of their feet, is also a way for cats to cool themselves.

Whenever playing with a cat I always stop at the first sign of panting and give them some time to 'cool off' before/if we start playing again. I take it as a sign that we have gone a tad too long.
