The one on the floor is trying to show submissiveness, that he doesn't want to have issues with the other one. That's what the roll on his back thing is :)

I think the cat on the floor is trolling the cat on the arm of the couch, and then when you step in it's like, "Hey, how cute am I? I totally wasn't messing with the other cat, I swear!"

Well, okay, properly it's probably more like, "I know you react with annoyance sometimes when I mess with the other cat, so I'm going to do something I know you think is cute, in the hopes that you'll react to that instead." Cats aren't really that good at deceit. Witness them trying to hide with their tails sticking out...

I agree, he didn't try to look cute until he saw mommy was looking at him! They are both just healthy looking beauties! I want to cuddle them!
