Hello all! TGIF. I cannot wait until the day is over. Don't forget to change your clocks this weekend. I can really use the extra hour of sleep. Any big plans for the weekend? I think all we are doing is watching the Breeders Cup races tomorrow. My hubby has never missed a single race - he has them all on tape. Normally we would make wings and have junk food, but not tomorrow. Hubby is still having that, but I will have a mixed green salad with cheese and chicken. Somehow I feel his is going to be tastier. I got the results back from the fertility specialist and I have a separate thread started about that. It is kinda nice to know that the reason I have major problems losing weight isn't will power but a medical condition. I hope now that I am on the meds that I can start seeing some results!

Once again I didn't sleep well. For the short time I was sleeping I had nightmares agin. I have to figure out what is causing all of these nightmares. I can barely function at work.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Too bad about your nightmares. I hope you find out what the problem is. It is so hard when you can't get a good nights rest.

Max has to go to the vet for his yearly checkup tomorrow. My sister drives me, so that I can hold onto his carrier (it is a soft carrier). He can see me through the mesh and he is a lot calmer that when we used to take him in the hard carrier. It was also hard for me to carry, as I have RA.

TGIF everybody and have a good day.

Sorry to hear you're having nightmares, Ady. I hope you get to the bottom of what's causing them.

Nora... give Max a scritch for me. (= I'm glad the soft carrier has a calming effect on him.

No exams or papers or anything today, thankfully. I do have a bunch of stuff coming up in the next week or two, so in addition to visiting with family this weekend, I'm going to have to sit down and do some classwork.

Oh... Tomorrow is going to be pretty neat. I have to (along with a partner from class) do a service project for my "Parables of Jesus" class. Laura and I are going to spend time with children who were born in the intensive care unit. I think that the hospital is having a Halloween party for them. It should be very nice... very rewarding.

Other than that... the fiance and I might go to a hockey game.... Oh.. and rent "True Romance"... Quentin Tarentino's first film (I'm so excited!).

Have a great day, everyone! (=

Ady... have you checked to see what the side effects are on the meds? (not quite sure how long you've been taking them)Maybe once your body gets used to the meds, everything will be fine.

Going shopping for halloween costumes for the boys later. other than that, nothing planned for the next couple of days except cleaning, looking for our winter clothes and relaxing.... (I hope)

Have a great day everyone!

I hate nightmares too! Last night I dreamed I was in prison with Tim Curry for 12-15 years. And I don't even know why I was in prison. Methinks I have been watching too much Oz reruns.

The surprise party went swimmingly - not easy, I tell you! Yesterday, I went hiking all day with my friend Dawn, who the party was for. She complained all day that her boyfriend had ignored her birthday and she was feeling down. But we did enjoy the hike and had lots of fun.

When she came home with all of us waiting inside, she was genuinely surprised and happy and felt so guilty for complaining about her boyfriend.

Will be going to the gym this arvo. Am going to make my breakfast now.
Vegemite on toast.

Have a splifflicating day you all!

Couldn't figure out the computer problem yet that I had yesterday, and I can't mess with it today...so I will have to worry about it next week...unless a miracle fairy comes! LOL...I have to take a Psych test when I get home, which I need to find time to study for in the next 4 hours...eek! I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I will talk to you guys when I get back!

Little Dominik had his first set of innoculations today. He's now alternating between frantic screaming (inconsolable and like I've never heard before) and sleeping. I think he's also running a slight temperature. Poor little mite. We'll give him some Kalpol which will hopefully calm him down a little later on.

I feel a sleepless night (more so than usual) coming on . . .

My concerns are rising for my poor old FIV cat, Ferdy. He's now on permenant steriod and anti-Bs (topical and tablets) and he seems to have his ear infection non-stop now. He's also losing great clumps of fur and has bald patches. I think hs might be in pain and is stressed. I will get him checked out during next week.

Apart from that all ploding along as usual - juggling, cats, baby, home and work. Phew!!!

Morning all- I just woke up. It is raining like the devil here, and last night a storm blew in. All the cats except two were on the bed and Kenai was hiding in the shower. The storm was fierce but very exciting! I love the weather when it gets here, and because we are so close to the mountains, we experience more weather than the other people, as the mountains can manufacture their own weather at times.

Ady you might try an old fashioned remedy to stop the nightmares. Get a small jar and fill it half full of honey. Add 2 tablespoons pure apple cider vinegar. Before going to bed take 2 teaspoons of the mixture. (after you stir it) Don't refrigerate it, just keep it in a cool dry place.

Yola, sorry to her that Dominick didn't fare well on his shots and that Ferdy is doing poorly. If he is pulling his hair out in clumps, then yes he is probably in great pain. Long-term steriods has some adverse reactions for cats and although they do solve one problem they create so many more.

Today will be busy for me. We have some out of town company due and I have to get cleaning. They are knife clients, so it isn't like they are staying overnight, but my house is screaming for attention! LOL

TGIF! Sitting at the dining room table with my laptop and Muddy sound asleep on top of my left foot. I gotta get up for a comfort stop but don't want to disturb the little mud-bug. Will just have to cross the legs for a while longer....

Going to take a co-worker out to lunch today as it is his last day on the job then happy hour for him this evening. The layoffs really stink!!

Nora,
We're going to see the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Penguins... the Pittsburgh Penguins uhm... AAA team? What do they call it in hockey?

Yola, I'm so sorry to hear about Ferdy. I hope he starts to feel better soon.

M.A. I've never heard of the honey and acv being good for nightmares, but it's a very good thing for everyone to take regularly! It's very healthy for you. My boyfriend and I and our pets get a dose almost everyday. I learned about it while researching canine diets, and then found out it's just as good for people too.

Julian-

I hope to get tickets to see the Giffens (Red Wings farm team) when I am in Grand Rapids in two weeks. I can't afford to purchase tickets to a Red Wings game. They are usually sold out even if I could afford them.

Have a great time at the hockey game.

I need to try that honey and apple cider vinegar remedy also - I am very prone to nightmares - almost every night.

So far out in left field I got lost
I am taking my Mom, Brother and Sister to where we buried Dad this weekend. It is about a 3 hour drive from here, and in my Mom's home town. We all need to go and spend time there if only for a little while
We all miss Dad so much!
