Hello everyone!
My husband and I live in Zurich, Switzerland with two NFC kittens we adore -- they're brother and sister, currently 3 months old. We used to have two NFC cats (also brother and sister), but they passed away at the ages of 19 and 22. It still hurts.
Our girl Elisa is on the left and her brother Vincent is on the right. They are a handful and the most dynamic, athletic, angelic (sometimes), and bonded pair of cats I have ever seen. One moment they will be jumping all over each other wrestling over toys; the next they'll just collapse and fall asleep.
We took them to the vet on their first day home and Elisa is now spayed, Vincent is neutered, and they are both fully vaccinated. We've been using a Feliway diffuser to ease the transition to a new environment but both (particularly Vincent) have adjusted well. They eat like pigs in kitten suits.
We also have a catio (which originally belonged to our last two kitties), but I'm going to introduce them to the great outdoors when they grow a little older. They're both so athletic, bouncy, and boisterous that DH and I fear that they'll somehow get lost.
The main reason why I came to this site was because we also have a 10-year old Corgi that used to be best friends with one of our other cats. He is still coping over the loss of Gisella (our last female cat). I am quickly reading up on integrating new kittens to a senior dog who has only been used to two cats for almost his entire life.. I understand the scent-to-scent introductions but we were thinking about starting them later, because could he (our Corgi) possibly be overwhelmed by the scent of two new scents in the house?
Looking forward to participating in the forums!
